This week, Satoshi learns HM02

It has been a long time since he has a pokemon that evolves, and it's always a great development. Not sure which of the four moves Fletchinder has replaced for the new Flame Charge though.

The mirror stuff is one hilarious jab at those who still claim Satoshi is weak and naive.
Now we can use this episode as basis of the joke that they are watching the wrong series.

I just love Satoshi's expression when the newbie Serena wants to challenge him. That look of excitement for some pwnage is just priceless.

Seriously though, other than Hawlucha having bad IV, Satoshi has been a competent trainer so far. If we know he will win a match going into it, he rarely fks it up if at all.

I really like Kalos's trio in anime version. Each of them has funny and likeable personality. All of them also has a clear goal of life in their mind. They are not a beginner too. Sana is cute!

You can easily find the subbed version in the same way you find other subbed anime.

Use "Pocket Monster" to search for them not "Pokemon"

It's hard watching Origin after this. The much touted final fight is merely on par with the ones in Mega Lucario arc while the rest is so bland.

Anyway, Ep40 continues Serena's journey of self discovery. She's slowly finding his way forward and the Performer seems like a legitimate goal for her at least for the time being. I like how it's her face in the title card. Otherwise not much to talk about here.

Ever notice that with the exception of Iris each of the girls has basically become a pokemon performer instead of a trainer. By the way i do love this show but you're gonna have to give me a damn good reason to convince me that Ash can legitimately get the badge if korrina uses more then 1 pokemon or just as much just mega lucario there's no way ash's pokemon in a 1 v 1 battle can win.

he has 4 pokemon at his disposal, 3 of them not seen by Koruni yet. Froakie is extremely agile, Fletchinder is a formidable force especially with the 4x type advantage, and Hawlucha as well despite low IV so far. At the very least, he can use those 3 to grind down Mega Lucario before pikachu delivers the final blow.

I won't rule out Koruni having other pokemons, but I highly doubt they will be as scary as Lucario. This is a team battle after all.

This season has been waaayyy better than that train wreck Black/White season, how do you screw up so badly? That season alone destroyed what the series built up until Diamond and Pearl season in which Satoshi/Ash was at the top of his game and had one of the most badass teams ever, hell they had to bring out legendaries so he wouldn't win in the Pokemon league (still says that was an asspull an obvious one at that).

Black/White was just so, so horrible (I have stronger wodds for it but i better keep them to myself), seriously:

1. The whole him being ten years old bull****.

2. Foreshadowing Zekrom and just retconning him out entirely.

3. Pikachu losing to a lvl 5 pokemon.

4. Iris getting all of the super strong pokemon while Satoshi/Ash had the worst line up ever (it's always better when he has only one or two of the starters in his team more than that doesn't work outside of the first season), seriously he had two grass type pokemon in his team?

5. Satoshi/Ash losing almost every single battle that wasn't a gym battle.

6. Him losing every single competition to either Iris or one of the other unnecessary characters.

7. The rival who was pretty much a clone of Paul (who made a prety good antagonist) mixed with Cheren and failed at being even a sliver as good as both of them.

8. Iris non-drama bull***** about not wanting to be a gym leader

(first world problems I guess

).

9. Kibago/Axew one episode not being able to beat Satoshi/Ashs newly born Scraggy to only a few episodes later begin to one shot final evolution pokemon.

10. Team Rocket being the antagonists (although they were pretty badass) and Team Plasma disappearing from the main story line (I know the whole earthquakes thing happened but still).

11. The f****** kid with the Riolu.

12. Satoshi/Ash not having most of his team fully evolved for the Pokemon league, seriously, they were either in their first form or in their first evolution except for like 3 two of which he didn't even use (I might be wrong but pretty sure I'm right).

13. The Pokemon League as in Satoshi/Ash losing to a guy that forgot to bring a full team, that he himself helped get signed up because the dumbass forgot or straight out didn't know, who once his Roilu evolved started one-shotting Satoshi/Ashs whole team.

14. The dissapointment that was the N arc.

15. The f****** Decolora arc

(only good thing was Pansy/Alexa and that's because she's hot

).

16. F****** Iris.

17. Plot induced stupidity, you're not going to sit there and tell me that after all of the seasons if watched of Pokemon (since the very firsy one) that Satoshi/Ash suddenly forgot how to battle or come up with his usual strategies, strategies that were praised by the frontier brains to the extent that they begged him to join them (that f****** Elesa battle

).

18. Abd by far the worst sin of all, retconning counter-shield (the best iffensive/defensive attack ever, we seriously need it in the games) as Dawn/Hikaris creation just to nerf Satoshi/Ashs pokemon, fact Dawn/Hikari only inspired the creation of counter-shield, Satoshi/Ash created and perfected the move so it's HIS CREATION

.

Only good things were:

1. Dawn/Hikari coming back.

2. N (even if his arc was a dissapointment).

3. Charizard 'nough said.

4. Badass Team Rocket.

The only thing avout this season that bothers me is that Satoshi/Ash doesn't have a rival like Gary or Paul around they basically the only ones to bring out his full potential as a trainer, they were good at being a**holes while not being that bad, we need a rival like them once again.
