The only good thing about E3 for me was Persona 4 Arena and Golden and that's it. The presentations and the event were a big waste of time.

No kidding, I absolutely can't connect with this "thing" whatsoever. It's like they're trying so hard to make the gamers take him really seriously-_-.

The worst thing about this is that it is called Devil May Cry, its an insult.

This guy looks like a random teenager on the street who curses and swears while trying to act cool.

If he's called something else and the title is different, the game at least looks decent.

Oh I missed this earlier but while this looks crap lets not act like DMC4 wasn't a disappointment... while it was much better than DMC2 (and heck even DmC might be) it wasn't on par with DMC1 and DMC3.

I never understood why DMC4 was considered a disappointment, I've played it and thought it was good...

Same here. While DMC 1 and 3 WERE EXCELLENT, Nero was a pretty nice touch once you get over the Dante Withdrawal, and the game was still pretty good. Hardly a disappointment at all especially not to the degree all these DMC ass kissers trying to claim it is.

Not at all, I'm still gonna give it a chance myself but same as before my expectations are still extremely low.

By ass Kissers I'm talking about the guys at E3 who try to bash DMC 4 to the extreme to try to sell this new DMC game.

Oh, Hah! DMC4 was great, Nero was meh. But once it started kickin up it was cool.

Main reason I don't like Nero was his over used power ranger VAer.

Played DMC 3 and 4 and like them both. No complaints.
Name other good and stylish hack'n'slash games out there.
Not saying that DMC is the best but not the worst obviously.

What, DMC4 is the deepest game in the series.
Even Nero, who is a basic character, has advanced techniques.
Dante is probably the most complex, since you need to know how to switch between his styles and weapons to be effective.
4 is one of the best, maybe only 3 Tops it off.

Agreed. I got very low expectations of this game since I was following this since 2010, every bad article to the cursing demo, just awful.

Alot are just paid people, weather they admit it or not, it's already been revealed that companies pay people to go on defense on this game.

Imho what happened in E3 it's not professional to do, if your gonna like a game support and build up the hype for the new one. Don't and never include the older game because your bashing the same game franchise, which is truly unprofessional of that article writer.

Most hardcore DMC fans in 2008 were disappointed with 4... while it has aged well... to say otherwise is revisionist history. It is still light years ahead of DMC2 and anything Ninja Theory could ever come up with...

So are they trying to completely reinvent the Devil May Cry franchise with this game or just make some money by slapping on the DmC name to it (if that makes a difference)?

It goes both ways but they're failing at reinventing it because the upcoming game is just a cut, paste, copy version of the original series but with a new character origin and image.

Yep pretty much that's it. But as I see it, it's more of a hybrid moveset of Dante and Nero with a very AWFUL air dash that is taken from twilight.

They just banked on the DMC franchise name, much like they did in RE:ORC, good thing in RE:ORC it wasn't re-invented, but was more of a cross over shooter game. This one they are trying too hard to be hard edge which is not very appealing at all.

It's too much of a shock too soon; the same thing happened with Max Payne 3 and bald Max, later when they slowly revealed that normal Max was still in the game, people started to calm down and suddenly the game was awesome and highly anticipated again.

Then again, Max Payne was still Max Payne no matter what his haircut and location, the same can't be said for Neo-Dante.
