Well, I don't think you have t worry about the card games unless it's a shout out, which I don't think is gonna happen.

However, I find it odd that the ages are placed with Egyptian Gods, when we haven't yet had a single Egyptian magician show up in the series. We've got England, Russia, Central America, Japan, and a few other European countries, but no Egypt.

its all based on the thelema religion, and the real aleisteir crowley made a trip to egypt with his wife, were he meet aiwass who told him the contents of the book of law, at this point is where he got the concept of aeons.

Egypt is now a Muslim country right? Well, things could get hairy you know...

...My guess is that the Author want to separate Aleister Crowley's Aeon of Egyptian Gods, with the actual Egyptian Gods so as not to confuse people.

plus, Egyptian magicians were hardcore badasses. As in the "force their way into heaven and then laugh at the 4 archangels desperately trying to kick them out" kind of badass

really, the only magicians who were better than them are Elijah and Jesus himself...

it migth gat a little hairy, but mostly because thelema has connections to islam, and too several references from judahism, well its actally based on lots of religions,cults adn magic, but those teo are the most "untouchable", also thelema use of the egypcian god names, just for reference, for the description of the aeon marching the story of the gods.

Hebrew God is mad, Egyptian Gods completely crushed.

oh yeah, forgot about Moses. Yeah, pretty much any hebrew prophet, since they could directly call for God's intervention and he'd comply to pretty much whatever request they'd make.

heh, when you think about it, they were pretty much using something similar to the secret chief theory, only their secret chief was GOD...

Brussia is one of the IIRC Russian mages in vol 20. He appears in the part before Lessar and Touma sneak up the train into Fianma's fort.

Aleister's aeons aren't really Egyprian gods. They just use them as symbology

Full Metal Panic! 11 and 12 are the two part finale, so it's understandable why it beat Oreimo and Index. If not for that, Oreimo and Index would be completely dominating this ranking with the exception of Nekomonogatari.

eh, its still the top novel this year. Though i dont mind it losing to FMP because FMP was a great show though i didn't finish the novels but the manga is catching up.

speaking of V.16 since this is coming soon, isn't it odd when touma was holding aquas lance (from what i read in the wikia summary) that aqua couldn't move it cuz touma held on. Now im pretty sure in the laws of muscles that if one man who looks like AUNOLD should have no trouble lifting someone whos like a stick.

I'm chuckling when what first came to Kaori's mind while in that battered-up state was her first encounter with Touma.

Too bad we won't be seeing this volume animated anytime soon, only possibility that'll allow it is an Index III. This is one of the Index novels I enjoyed the most before the conclusion of the World War III arc.

if index keeps thriving, I give it in fall 2012. Though the SS novels also have to be animated Bardway became a character in V.22. Though i have no clue what her purpose is.
