Theres this absolutely lovely adult doujinshi manga called + 3 that focuses on Temari and Shikimaru with an art style so simular to the real thing, starting with denial, confession and consumation of their love. I loved it so much, as far as I'm concearned ..it's already happened and part of canon.

Here's a small portion of it, don't worry it's work safe.

My favorite male... Shikamaru I have been a follower/believer In the church of Shikamaru~ since the beginning of the Manga. I'd say as one of his firm followers I think Temari is the best choice. Why you ask?

Ino is nice and whatnot, but with her CONSTANT competeing with Sakura she wants the bad boy, and to one up her. If Ino were to walk with Shikamaru Sakura wouldn't give a rats ass. But if Temari had him, and they had a child, DEAR GOD!!!

The kid would DEFINATLY own over anything Naruto makes With Hinata...

It's like making the Golden Chocobo in FF7

While Temari has more of a stratagical mind what would work with his.
They could make whole bunch of plans on which pose to take and at what time (in bed by the way)

Both Shiho and Temari represent different sides of intelligence. Shiho is the learned bookworm absorbing knowledge. Temari is the strategic thinker and puzzle solver.

Either way Shikamaru's kids will be brilliant. Unless he ends up with Ino who will dilute Shika's genius DNA with her airhead slut DNA.

Remember Ino's great line about Hidan and Kakuzu? "They are using their immortality to their advantage!" No bleep Sherlock!
