For those who worry about whether Kawasumi would be a good replacement for Yukarin, fear not, Kawasumi is versatile enough to do almost any role, having seen tonnes of stuff which she has voiced. In fact (I know I'll get burned by Yukarin fans for saying this ) I reckon she's far more versatile than Yukarin IMHO, who is best suited for other more "loli" characters than Alice.

I was just as nervous as the devoted fans here, but maybe I'm overreacting things a little bit. It's understandable because for me will be the first time listening to Ayako Kawasumi voicing a loli-type of character.

As for the other characters:
-Junko Minagawa was a natural choice, since her voice has proven being suitable in roles featuring dreamy, relaxing, or adventurous boys with high spirits.

-I went overboard, but believe what I would have liked as my first choice, which jumped right into my mind, for Break's role was Daisuke Namikawa. I mean Break's the type of mysterious character which barely or unusually gives insights about himself and instead wears a friendly mask to hide his true colors with a smile.
Namikawa-san's voice graced the character of Fye in Tsubasa Chronicles with that above description.

-Kohsuke Toriumi is as well another suitable for voicing break.
He tends to voice either the lonely-wolf type or the tough and hardened but protective type of guy.

Meh, I would indeed have to (respectfully) call BS on this just for the sake of the record. Yukari Tamura has done lots of different kinds of roles very well in the low, middle, and higher character age-ranges. ("higher" in this context being in the higher teens/approximate 20s) Besides the loli-type characters, she did older Nanoha (of course), Mai from Kanon 2000 and 2006, Ranpha from Galaxy Angels (video games and anime), Tomari from Kashimashi (which was a type of character pretty close to Alice's personality), as well as others. (no point in droning on and on just to make a simple point, lol)

Yeah, I'm definitely disappointed in the changing of the seiyuu cast too. It won't stop me from watching or enjoying the show, but after hearing Yukari Tamura do Alice so well in the drama CD, it definitely sucks to hear her swapped out, even if it's for another good VA. (this is at least the second time it's happened for Yukari as well; she did Ayane in the Nagasarete Airantou drama CD and got swapped out for the anime VA; the new seiyuu did good too, but I would've liked Yukari better )

I'm happy to see that Pandora Hearts will be an anime, since people who know it ae not too many. I prefered the seiyuu of the drama cd, but I these ones are not that bad (even if I prefered yui Horie for Sharon -_-). The draws are not that bad, but Oz is the only one who seems "quality" I don't like the way he's made. Raven is absolutely as cool as always. @_@

the artwork and storyline summary caught my attention it seems. as for XEBEC producing it... i shudder just thinking about it. i mean fanservice is good and all and i know anime adaptions aren't exactly eye for eye from the original source, but they tend to get a wee bit carried away sometimes on that stuff.

it seems fairly obvious to me that this adaptation will have little to none of that kind of fanservice. Actually, so far it seems very close to the source material, just by looking at the promotional video and the character designs. I wonder why they would insert that kind of fanservice if the manga had none of it--and really, the story and the characters are more than enough to appeal the masses.

Apparently someone posted the wrong seiyuu cast for this on ANN. Can someone fix it? They posted Sakamoto Azuma as Gilbert when that hasn't been announced yet. Silly them!
