I think Nyro is something Tsuruya mumbled off during the episode Someday in the Rain. The Fandom applies memetic mutation, and she suddenly says it every sentence in every non official Haruhi work.

She says it in Someday in the Rain and Live Alive, I believe, and it's also said in Volume 7 a couple times. It's a sentence ender.

I don't think anyones ever found an actual meaning to it other then character flavor. Some claim it's a reference to a cartoon strip that's been around for a bit, one with cheese and shenanigans. Even if it's complete gibberish it just seems to fit her reguardless for some odd reason.

If only both the normal world and the genderbending world would combine as one.... Kyon will hang out with Kyon-chan, Mikuru will hang out with Mitsuru... Nagato will read... with Nagato....
