Anime that takes place in ancient Japan

I'm looking for an anime that just takes place in ancient Japan.. like, no modern technology, pretty much. People walk around with swords, live in wooden houses, women wear kimono daily, etc. Any anime that incorporates Japanese mythology like Amaraterasu, would be a big plus (bah, Naruto doesn't count).

I've already seen some that would describe what I'm looking for such as:

Samurai Champloo
Samurai Deeper Kyo
Inuyasha
Rurouni Kenshin
Naruto

So, uh, do you guys know any like those? Thanks.

Would fighting genre a requirement? If not, try Mushishi.

Edit: lol, I made a big mistake by recommending one of the anime that was in the first post. Please someone with moderator rights delete this.

Though it may not seem like it at first, AIR, that other classic visual novel by Key after Kanon, comes to mind.

I guess the following might be considered similar to what you asked: Fushigi Yuugi, Houshin Engi, Princess Mononoke (movie), Omnyou Taisenki (not ancient, but has the feeling), Tsubasa (partially, there are arcs from that era), Twelve Kokuki (another good one).

I'll second Mushishi and Juuni Kokuki.

Take a look at Shura no Toki as well. (geh, I guess that's a second also)
