Hmm...

After episodes 16 and 17 I felt like I was misundertanding Minorin's actions, so I decided to search the forums around the world for some answers...

Arigatou, everyone. ^^

Then, after reading almost everything that Animesuki has to offer to me in terms of ToraDora! trivia and Answers, I decided to watch some chapters again, under some new light...

Well... Chapter 2 of the Anime series sounds WAY MORE DEEPER, at least to me, now.

Minorin had decided to support Taiga's relationship with Ryuji not only because she (or everyone, for that matter) misundertood 'em...

She really entrusted her best friend to someone else,
and, maybe, entrusted that someone else to her best friend,
to the sake of both.

And my oppinion about Minorin's behavior: She seems to be "random" and "hyper", but that's because:

1. She is an Otaku.
2. "to keep hands busy" is the best way to not think about serious stuff.

Well, the strength to keep her 'persona' up was there because she thought it to be the best for everyone, but... in the last two chapters... She doesn't know what is the best thing for anyone anymore... She doesn't even know what is going on with her...

(I just finished watching Welcome to the N.H.K. and, in comparison, it's really refreshing to see a series in where every action and every character has way too much meaning, too much background...)

Minorin seems to have lots of stuff from her (and Taiga's) past in her mind all the time... Can't wait to see everything coming slowly into play.

One thing I can say for sure, after seeing episode 17 I surely would not want to be near her when she picks up a bat.

To me,Minorin is the weirdest character in the story...maybe because she's the only one who hasn't got a crush on anyone else, makes her stand out of the rest of the cast really. I'm very intrigued to see how she's going to turn out in the next few episodes, maybe Ryuuji will perform a miracle and finally get their relationship to the next tier.

It is very clear that Minorin do liked Ryuji in end of ep 19 but she decided to let him go for sake of her good friend, Taiga. Sad scene to be honest.

One thing I'm really curious about is why Minorin tries to be so hyperactive and always tries to keep herself busy.

Does the novels explain the rationale behind it or is it simply a setup of her character?

Both Taiga and Minorin are acting the same. Giving up the person they like (although Taiga just figured this out at the end of novel 7) to their best friend, while it's hurting themselves.

Kinda sad really.
