See Final Crisis. Darkseid was such a threat that Batman had no choice but to shoot him with a gun. That's how real shit was.

A lot of people were also disappointed in Batman for using a gun, since that's a trait that's really stuck ever since it was implemented, it's worth pointing out. Not that anyone in the Nanohaverse has a particular dislike of guns, but it's still a bit unpleasant, mostly because it's just Tsuzuki liking robots that led to them using these weapons.
Besides, that's giving the Huckebeins a bit TOO much credit. At that point Darkseid was causing the entire universe to die by existing, I believe. Poisoning a world or too doesn't really match up. |

On the other side, it will be cool to see different spin-offs based on exclusive set of characters.
The Uncanny Wolkenritter, N-Factor(Numbers), TSAB(JLA), Signum ORIGINS, Fate/Teana World's Finest, The Amazing Chrono, The Adventures of Nanoha, etc, etc...

It's just him taking the AMF concept from StrikerS to its logical extreme. Instead of weakening magic, it out right cancels it. Nothing wrong with that concept in itself, as magic in the Nanohaverse is not an omnipotent power, but an alternate means of energy. So when faced with something that completely negates magic, a new method of offense was needed, hense all the new toys.

Should have said something when everyone was making those claims, then.
Maybe he just likes designing new weapons and didn't want to add any new characters to use them. He probably should have used the same effort on making the Huckebein's weapons a bit more unique: the AEC Weapons definitely outshine them in design. |

So tell them to shove it. Like I said, we have a thread with more than 500 pages detailing merchandise from this series. You can afford to take a chance, at least - Vivid's popular, and it barely has Nanoha and Fate in it at all.

Creator can't exactly tell their fans to shove it. It's bad for business.
Unless you're Tomino or Anno, I guess. Anyways, come to think of it the main complaint was "HOW DARE THEY HAVE A MALE MAIN CHARACTER IN MY WONDERFUL YURI PARADISE!" so I guess Vivid is fine due to it's lack of penises.

The point is, there are existing characters much better suited to do the job. It's beyond dumb to put magic specialists to deal with foes that can right out cancel magic. The TSAB already have a handfull of Combat Cyborgs under their ranks, who are much better prepared to face these kind of threats and are much better candidates for the new toys. Their IS are non-magic abilties with very usefull effects and if that wasnt enugh they can work on improve them, geez they already did it with Subaru, the secret behind the Sword Breaker's effectiveness is that is powered by Subaru's own IS "Oscillating Breaker/Vibration Shatter". The Aces and the Wolkenritter have nothing to do here.

Cries of "Useless characters or too many characters" make that statement wrong

If they like Nanoha and the old characters that much, no way they'd boycott say, posters and such featuring them. I'm not one of those fans, but Seven Arcs does cater to the more deviant crowd, and they're pretty good at it.

When some of them have underage girls on them, it gets a little sketchy.
And I'm not familiar with Kannagi, but what I basically meant was that dropping the manga doesn't necessarily mean they'd drop things they still like about the series. Like Fate's ass. |

Depends on how you look at it, I suppose. Some people think that as soon as a girl has her period it means she's viable for the reproductive process.
With Kannagi, it was revealed that 'everyone's waifu' Nagi had a boyfriend in the past. People jumped to conclusions and thought that meant she wasn't a virgin. Shit storm ensued. So in that case they did drop the thing they liked about the series. Nagi went from pure lovable waifu to a horrible slut who can't keep her legs closed. Yes, it is incredibly fucking stupid. ... Hakua is superior anyways.
