I agree completely, can't wait for the next episode. Sagara as sent to bring Hanbei to Nobuna's side which he did, but Hanbei serves Sagara not Nobuna. Can't wait to see Nobuna's face.

i just remembered, Toukuchirou (Hideyoshi) aka the character which our MC replaced, is a real monkey in sengoku rance, is this monkey thing copied from each other or did it exist before oda nobuna or rance was made?

The real Hideyoshi (as in, the guy Yoshiharu and all other Hideyoshis are based off of) was given the nickname of "little monkey" by Nobunaga. Whether other media take that literally is entirely their own discretion.

Nobunaga was also believed to give Maeda Toshiie (Inuchiyo) the nickname of "dog" (Inu). This may be why anime Inuchiyo wears the tiger hood.

Well..... There's this old proverb "The relationship between a dog and a monkey" (犬猿之間), meaning dogs and monkeys are never friendly to each other (if not trying to kill each other). Given that Inuchiyo and Monkey are supposed to fit pretty well in the novel (despite our little tiger being conscious of her poor assets and hates being treated like an imouto), the tiger hood was probably added to take out the dog reference.


This reference has been used so that Toshiie is often depicted as reserved and stern, in contrast to Hideyoshi's talkative and easy-going nature.

BTW.... Inuchiyo is written 犬千代, meaning "a thousand generations of dogs".

Actually, Toshiie and Hideyoshi were concidered to be great friends since childhood...I've heard some say that Nabunaga gave those two those nicknames as a joke (since their relationship went against the saying).

It would also explain why our Inuchiyo seems so attached to Sagara.

I'm thinking Inuchiyo's tiger hood and shorts may be a nod towards Toshiie, for he was known to be quite a delinquent in avant-garde dressing. All the other Oda characters are dressed in recognizable Japanese fashion, while Inuchiyo is quite different.
