Okay, I had a bad ear, can someone else identify who Yuu's VA is? In any case, I find her voice cute, so I'm not complaining.

As for the episodes itself...I think they may be missing explanations in several places. So, I can kinda get Yuu's motive (doing a mercy kill is never easy, I guess, it's still hard murdering a friend) but what exactly does KotN plan to have her kill him, anyway? I mean, what use does it has for him to kill all of Yuu's friend? Sure, they say that he doesn't understand Yuu, but in what world does that kind of thing help when you're asking for a favor? And we never get a clear background of him too, where does the black mist power coming from? How does Kyouko figure into this? How exactly is it OK now for Yuu to talk, are we sure she really has her emotion in check? So many questions left unanswered....

Well, I'm not a huge fan of the first half, too much emotional scenes which this show never really pulled off all that well. And seriously, when confronted with the strongest Megalo who emits flying ghosts and whales, the way to defeat it is by having a vampire ninja maid concerto on top of the Tokyo Tower, led by the one who has drank a necromancer's blood. Of course. But seriously, how does Saras (yeah, with Sarasvati, she's definitely not Seras) know how to solve that situation? And did Yuu knows this would happen that she did that beforehand?

The second part though, pretty much starting when Haruna and Ayumu double transform, are awesome. I really love the fact that the Mysteltainn Kick running gag actually is used very well here, the black mist is used to repel physical attack and not magical, and not calling their attacks by the real name has tricked KotN that he doesn't dodge or do something else. I assume that's why he lost his magic power? And the fight is brutal as usual (holy crap he planted his fist through his face) and it ends quite well. Hearing Yuu's voice after all this wait...it's worth it, I guess.

So, next ep is just a beach episode? Who cares if it's not plot relevant, I can't wait for next week!

Well... Episode 11 was sort of okay, it definitely balance things out with last week.

The first half of this episode was however dull, borderline "out of character". I mean, Ayumu was looking for Yuu for months, but never gave up on that. Then the events of Episode 10 made him depressed?
That's really not how Ayumu was portrayed for 10 damn episodes. It isn't like it is not understandable, but the characterization and transitions to this state are faulty to say it simply.

Of course, the whole deal with Yoruno started on a very anticlimatic note, but things started to finally go on business when Ayumu begun his assaults.
Ayumu's confrontation was this time on spot, and it definitely matches the emotional weight of the situation.

Alas, I'm afraid I was left a bit indifferent to Yoruno's fate, as his melancholic/immortality sickness syndrome weren't really portrayed as intense/deep as it could be, which left the supposed "touching" farewell a bit shallow. Due to the lack of backstory, it is hard to see Yuu being considerate even towards him, despite all the crap that happened.
I think they should have played more on the inhuman side of him, in order to give an actual meaning of his actions: acting like a deadpan puppet doesn't really give much impact on his actions, which leaves questions regarding his motive.

Speaking of Yuu, it is a relief she finally speak for this kind of moment (although I'm not so impressed by her seiyuu performance ).
The conclusion was wrapped in a good way, although I would have liked more stuff being revealed about Yuu and Yoruno in general (leading to an actual tormenting emotional torture, instead of a very plain one from Yoruno).

Sort of alright, and it seems that fanservice wasn't that enough for them, so next episode seems to be something totally non plot oriented.

Seras desu ex machina was just a little bit too hard to believe. I don't think I can take that convenient leap to have Seras get back into the graces of the vampire-ninja community.

Another thing that was a little poorly done was the mist countering. Can't say I even have a great guess at what happened, but I'm guessing the LN gave more insight on this? Was it just that KotN decided to test his strength vs Ayumu + Haruna and lost? IDK, someone will fill me in.

Other than that though, it was overall enjoyable. I was surprised at Yuu speaking, and she choose a good time to do it too. The scene felt right and Yuu telling Ayumu to stop having strange fantasies was hilarious ^^;;.

Get ready for fan service episode next week? Probably an indoor poor since I don't think the beach works for Ayumu.....

HOLY CRAP, YUU SPOKE!! She sounded incredibly cute. It felt so weird to see her talking

I'm having mixed feelings about this episode. The plot hardly made sense. A few episodes ago, we found out Yuu tried to kill Yoruno in the past, and then we saw her attempting to kill him again in episode nine... yet we're told she never intended to kill him. Ok.

Sera sucking Yuu's blood turned out to be important after all, huh. That isn't exactly the kind of "power-up" I had in mind for her, though. This was too much of a deus ex machina. Moreover, why did she have to wear a maid outfit while playing music? Are they all actually vampire ninja maids?

So, I gather the reason Haruna couldn't transform into a magical girl is that Mysteltainn wouldn't let her. Does this mean Mysteltainn fell in love at first sight with Ayumu? Do his harem skills even extend to chainsaws?
Anyhow, good to see the genius magiclad girl Haruna again. Yoruno falling for the kick feint was incredibly funny

The zombies' fight was badass. Bones broke, blood splashed everywhere, and brain matter was splattered all over the wall... awesome!

The best scene of the episode was of course the one where Yuu spoke. That was better than any fantasy. So wonderful.

Beach episode next week? My body is ready.

Looking at the blog, the writer said that episode 12 is going to be aired tomorrow so that it won't clash with the schedule? Can anyone confirm this? Because I look at CR and they don't give any info as to when the next ep is going to air...

Midori Tsukimiya. It seems like this is her first role, and she looks really, really young.

KotN's goal seems to be to get Yuu as upset at him as possible in order to kill him. If he killed all her friends, create all this devastation, and torment her to no end, she would hopefully have a change of heart and kill him.

As for the episode itself, it was entertaining. Yes, there were some plot holes here and there, and there were many things left unanswered.

My only big question was, "what was the effect of Yuu speaking in the end?" If her words brought about magical changes to the world, what would that whole conversation she had at end do, and what are the lasting effects? I did not immediately see any effects yet, and I wonder if they every will show any.

Yeah, I think the biggest flaw is that there's so many things left unexplained so that it seems everything went just because the plot demanded it to. Well, in adaptation of LN sometimes the studios left out a couple of things, I wonder if in their rush they skipped parts that's supposed to explain why the events happen? Because I find it hard to believe that there's this many plot holes originally...

About Yuu, I think it's not just the words but also the conviction she has in the words she say. From what I see, the main factor is her emotion, as evens silently she bring about Megalos when in distress, the words probably are just to direct what exactly will happen. That's why, as long as she kept her emotions in check she should be alright, but she still goes to full mute extreme as she doesn't want to take any chances, until now.

Oh, and thanks for the info about Yuu's VA. Hmm, not too bad for a debut...

The second zombie was not that exciting and I'm confused about the whole deal. So Yuu feels bad for killing him but it is fine to destroy whole city and kill thousands? Where is the logic?

And since when can she talk so freely? Did she learn to control herself?
Also I kind of expected slightly deeper voice but of well.

The fist-fight between Ayumu and KotN was the best part of the episode for me. Such an awesome demonstration of power, and that final punch that went straight through KotN's head was complete ownage. I really wish Ayumu fought like this more often.

The plot here was a mess and so many things coming out of nowhere like Haruna's regaining of her powers and Ayumu's "emo-ness". It really left me confused.

Eu talking at the end though was cool, but it looks like they'll never explain why she can now. =/

Last episode is gonna be a swimsuit one huh? Not surprised because for whatever reason it seems to be MANDATORY for series' featuring a number of beautiful girls to have a swimsuit episode whether it ties in with the plot or not.

As for my overall thoughts, show starts going pretty strong with the first 6 episodes, but then in the 2nd half it all just crashes down in quality with a rushed pace and many things left unexplained. I only hope the manga adaptation of this story is doing better than this did.

She could always talk whenever she wanted, she just wanted to be safe since her words have the potential to have ever lasting magical effects. At the end there I would assume she felt really peaceful so she was ok to talk a lot.

The King of Night sort of distressed Yuu enough to summon Megalos, that part wasn't under her control.

My god, this episode was really good. The dual transformation and Mysteltainn Kick was hilariously epic and bada**, zombie fighting that I was really anticipating for was brutally awesome, and the vampire maid orchestra was really cool too(even though we're left to wonder why they had to wear those outfits). But Yuu speaking tops all of those epic moments IMO

The only thing I didn't like about this was the plot which was pretty much all over the place, unanswered questions, and plot holes as mentioned above. Though everything else in the episode sorta overshadowed that if you ask me. Hopefully they'll give this show a decent ending now, cause this is totally one anime I won't be forgetting in for a while.
