Well I beat Remelia on EoSD today normal mode, with Marisa B, used all 3 continues though.

Where do I go from here? How hard is it to unlock Flandre's stage?

To unlock extra stage, you need 1cc on normal (ie beat Remi without using continue).

Yeah, just wondering which path I should go about taking to get to the point where I can 1cc normal. Do most people move to higher difficulties and then go back to normal so it's easier to 1cc? Or stick to normal and get very good at it?

It feels like a long way away before I can 1cc it.

Practice Start on Normal. Hard and Lunatic are too much.



How many lives you start with, default 3 or the max 5? If you are still starting with 3 lives, change it to 5. Now, you have 5 lives to start, 2 life items (stage 3 and 5) and 4 extra lives by scoring, which makes up 11 lives in total.

You repeat each stage on Practice Start till you can

Stage 1 - no bomb, no death

Stage 2 - no death

Stage 3 - no death

Stage 4 - 2 death

Stage 5 - 3 death

Once you can do these, you can go back to Story mode of Normal difficulty. Remi's first 4 life bars (or Spell Cards) are bomb-damagable, just keep bombing, you should have at least 2 lives to deal with Red Magic. Then, good luck to dodge.

Remember to bomb on the parts you find you die often. It's nothing wrong with bombing that ice fairy and that gateguard, Marisa does Master Spark Meilin a lot whenever she want to get in SDM.



BTW if possible, show us your replay next time, we may give you more specific suggestions.

With 3 continues I am able to get Remilia down to her last bar, close to death on hard. Marisa B

I play with 5 lives already.

Anyway, thank you very much for your input so far, has greatly been helping me learn the ropes and progress. The only thing about replays is I always seem to die at Meiling, lucky to get to Sakuya midboss. Guess I have a long way to go. Hehe.

Do you guys know why most artists tend to pair Meiling with Krizalid in crossover arts?

It's not the right way to compare it.

On an average run, how far you can reach on Normal without death nor bomb, and how far you can go on Hard?

Just did a run of 5 lives at Marisa B Normal. I tried to make it in a way to show at what times you should bomb and at what situations you should dodge and how. You can follow suit at most part, only that you better bomb Sakuya's first mid-boss attack instead dodge it as I did (I died by accident at early part of Stage 5 so I tried to compensate it).

Also, I ened up with one unused life and the current life with 3 bombs, thus you can also bomb some parts which I dodged but you still find difficult.

Yea I see now.

While I've read all Jojo and played SRW for more than a decade, I'm less than a year new to Touhou lol

Touhou is much harder to get into than SRW, to me these 2 franchises are sort of a must to get into if you're into either. But Touhou is just too much on the doujin side for me lol, SRW has everything hand fed to you by Banpresto and I'm used to everything in there. Not sure how much time I'm going to spend getting into Touhou, plus, in the first place I'm very bad at danmaku games lol
