You may be right, but I'm a little suspicious because his actual death was not shown. Why wasn't the death of the series' primary antagonist shown? Maybe he will return in the sequel? Who knows.

I can't read kanji but it looks like just an advertisement for "Meister Works" (マイスターワークス) trading cards. The little text mentions things like "complete" and "00 collection card".
