Hmm... Romary looks rather old for being in her early 40s... damn it Asemu, look at the stress you've put her through.

Was there any justification given this episode for Asemu's space pirate escapades? He needs to have a really good excuse for abandoning Romary and Kio.

Looks like they've finally found a way to present an impressive Gundam debut WHILE managing a 3 month timeskip using flashback. A 10 for me, also now that the kids are gone.

With reunions galore, my favorite would still be Asem X Romary. I hope they've found TIME atleast before Baronoke left port. Maybe between those debriefings with the cleary angry Asuno family head.

If Age-"Follow X-rounder" is a brand new gundam, what will happen to the still intact Fortress? Modified for the FA Age-1?

After a long wait, Farsia. I hope it would be Fram's, not the new green haired girl.

Asemu and Bisidians were actively sabotaging both Federation and Vagan so to prevent each side having critical advantage over another so to prevent war escalation and complete annihilation of either side

Wow. For some reason, the new OP made my love for AGE increase tenfold.

Lame exaggerations aside, the new OP is great, both visually and in audio. Definitely my favourite.

The new ED is great too, featuring the Asuno women. Both are perfect for the final arc.

New OP thoughts:

- Every antagonists are absent, including Zeheart himself (except for the Vagan MS of course)

- AGE FX slices and dices enemy MS instead of no kill policy adopted in the actual show

- I like the generation progress, especially when you see AGE 2 progress to AGE 3, you notice the changes in Obright's Genoace as well

- Golden G-Exes-ish MS. It looks rather un-Vagan like. I wonder who's the pilot? Zeheart playing Quattro? Deen? The new green hair Vagan?

- Huge MA as final boss?

- Full Armor AGE-1! Dark Hound should get an update too though

- Love the new OP and ED. Very nice songs

Actual episode thoughts

- I thought there would be few years time skips, but guess not. It is weird to see the AGE system made up a brand new Gundam in 3 month times compared to the decades it used for AGE 2 and 3.

- AGE FX has one nice debut, kicking ass. It was what 00 QAN[T] could have done had it not been used in communication with ELS. Of course, since Kio has a no kill policy now, the cut off Vagan heads conveniently didn't blow up. We even have a very forced explanation of "Oh they don't need to hide their identity anymore, so no more explosion!!!" UGGGHHHH

- Romary looks old...

- Poor Flit, I understand where he is coming from, but his son and grandson disagreeing with his view definitely hurts. Although I think so far he has the most effective way to end the war (even though it means annihilating the other side). Both Asemu and Kio are just prolonging the war and don't have any actual way to end it.

- Zeheart still remembers Asemu, hurray!!! Apparently Level 5 wants to keep their rivalry intact instead of transferring it to Kio. But I will have to doubt their decisions not to age Zeheart. It will look weird to see 40 years old Asemu vs a 20 years old Zeheart.

If the three Asunos' standpoints in the war are represented on a political spectrum:

Left----------------Centre----------------Right
Flit-----------------Asemu-----------------Kio

Flit: insists on exterminating the Vagans before the war can come to an end, even those innocents which he claim should be faulted simply because they follow a tyrant.. like they have any choice

oh..he's a leftist because his views are the most extreme, as if there's no way to end the war unless you change the demographics on Mars by eradicating the Vagans.

Kio: most conservative out of the three, as contact with the Vagans left a lasting impression on him. wouldn't even lay a finger on the Vagans even if that means sacrificing himself (I think)

Asemu: the political realist, understands that there's no way to stop the fighting unless one side is completely exterminated (barring the nonsense Kio is about to conjur), so aims to maintain the status quo which is basically the best you can bargain for in times of war.

If I was a voter (a rational one), I guess I would go for Asemu. But the downside is that preserving the status quo means giving up every opportunity to negotiate or fight for an end to the war. Atrocities would continue to inflict both sides, deepening their hatred for each other, kept apart only by the pirates' intervention. Surely a time would come when such ill-feelings can't be contained any longer..
