Ed HAS his arm back. It's getting Al back that's the problem (and Ed's leg). They're where they were after transmuting their mother but before Ed attached Al's soul to the armor: Ed's leg is gone (at the gate), and Al is at the gate. |

Er I meant Al to get back WITH his body. Right now he's not really in the right place :x. And by Ed's expense, I mean, I don't want Ed to sacrifice himself to bring back Al, because that'd be super lame cuz i want to see my damn Winry smooch.

Well, no waiting for the episode thread this week. WMB must be pumped up... ^_^
Looking forward to some reaction from the anime-only watchers, assuming this gets as far as I think it will... Also interested in seeing just how far it gets, and how much manga material is left for the last episode... Previews from last week show it getting a fair ways into the final chapter, so I'm wondering if there might be a little fleshing out of the remainder, which to some manga readers will be quite the blessing... EDIT: Well, like I expected, it got a litle further than the previous preview suggested. But with what's left, they could easy add just a tad here and there to make it work. From the next preview, it looks like they're going to be doing a little visual homage to the ending of the previous series, and doing it logically within the frame of the end of the manga. Wouldn't surprise me if that was worked out between Arakawa and BONES. As for the actual episode itself, the disconnect between finished chapter and outline given to BONES is very evident. Many things look visually quite different, and a few things happen out of order (or more specifically a certain subplot is handled separately here, wheras it was folded in with everything else in the manga). I'm going to wait for the sub to make my final decision, but it looks like my prediction that there would be a jarring change in pace for the last two episodes is holding true so far.

Amazing episode.
Poor Father got what he deserved. Suddenly the last segment of the 4th Opening (Period) makes more sense now that I watch this episode. Gonna wait for subs since I didn't understand pretty well what Ed did (Sacrificing Alchemy itself?) R.I.P - Greed

Oh god they finished this episode with Hoenheim's death. That adds so much more impact to the scene then we got in the manga. & dear me that ED as well. I'm gonna be in tears for the rest of the day. ;_______;

Will need to watch this again with subs, but as of now I'm not too happy with how they handled this ep. Many scenes don't have much impacts as they do in the manga, well, except for the Hohenheim scene in the end which was very touching.
Also, I can't tell for sure but did Bones cut out Roy's line where he says that Ed won't sacrifice himself and leave Al alone because he knows the horror of being left alone? Well, I won't be surprised if they did.

Looks like I was right. There is no way it all could fit in those last episodes without being stretched. And a lot of things were added.
Not that I mind. I will give my opinion about episode after subs are out, but so fat it looks good^^ Glad they put Honheim's death in this episode.

I thought this was a great episode that resolved pretty much all the plot left. The only thing I'm curious on is how they're going to make an episode out of a conclusion alone. Because to be quite honest, they could've probably ended it right there if they showed what happened to everyone after in the credits.
But I guess they must have something big planned.
