I voted for both Light and L.
Something to add: Light and L are complete opposites in outer appearances but are extremely alike in characters.

Ryuk was probably the only main character I constantly liked through out the whole story. The others managed from time to time do stuff that annoyed me to various degrees, but Ryuk was always fun.

Matsuda is my favorite on the cop side.

Sayu also never annoyed me , but then again, she didn't do much in general. Looked really cute in the movie though

I voted for my all time favorite Misa chan of course. She is like cutest character ever. I loved the outfit, her character (which many of you hate but I don't care

) and especially her voice but also her silly self and her obsession with kira. practically everything. hell I even made this club for her once.

Still Yagami was the reason i started to watch this show. So Yagami Light would be second, L third

Well the duo of Light and L is one of most interesting pieces of entertainment i sen in recent years. Their hero-villain duo is one of the most fun to watch ever. They kind of complete one other to great degree so of course I choose them both.

Later we have Misa because she is cute but she does become a bit annoying at the end.

Misora Naomi overall adorable character deserves place in my heart. Adorable, sexy, smart, caring, cute I mean I would want to have a gf like that. Overall one of the best characters DN had to offer.

I kinda liked Near as well

Well my fav would be Raito (a.k.a Light) cos hes so cool headed. It would seem that he is a one man army taking over the entire police force.

Spoiler for series: Also, three detective hotshots were needed to pin him down though i should say in the end he brought about his own downfall cos he lost his cool headedness and became arrogant which got the better of him
