I don't remember the name (it's on my computer at home), but it's on the same CD that the OP is on. It's an excellent little CD, by the way - only four songs, totalling no longer than 15 minutes, but they're all good.

A decent show, was quite different than what I was expecting, I felt really bad that things couldnt work out between Fumi and Sugimoto, although as sad as it was, it was also refreshing to see Fumi show that sort of maturity to be straight up and say she had moved on... However, I have to say I would have preferred a somewhat less ambiguous ending though. A confession at the very least would have been nice, but oh well...

I watched Aoi Hana while I was in Tokyo last month so I got to visit some of the places in the story. The island that they go to where they walk through a cave with candles is really interesting: tons of old statues and some temples/shrines; and you can see Mt Fuji from there. The train the characters take to get to school runs along the coast for an amazing view of the sea. Southern Kanagawa Prefecture has to be one of the best spots on Earth.
I really like it when anime are set in real, specific areas instead of just generic settings. Aoi Hana definitely succeeded in that respect. And of course the story was great too . Hopefully they'll be more seasons, or else I'll have to read the manga. |

I was not aware that it was set in real life locations, I assumed it was just set in a stereotypical, small, nondescript town in Japan. Do you have any pictures from the areas you visited, I saw that someone posted comparison pictures for DtB and those were really cool to look at.

Don't know if this thread is still active but want to post a question. I noticed on the site that the series is listed as "licensed". Now I know it's still being streamed on Crunchyroll, but does anyone know who has the rights to this? Is it an US license or international? I know that the manga is being translated and released in France. So if anyone has any leads let us know.

Bad news: Kōji Yamamoto, Fuji TV's producer for many of the anime in the late-night Noitamina timeslot, confirmed in an interview that a second anime season of Aoi Hana (Sweet Blue Flowers) is not being produced. Writer Kumao Ōyama interviewed Yamamoto along with ASMIK Ace publicity producer Fumie Takeuchi on the Tokyo pop culture site Luvits. In the interview, Yamamoto said, "We made an extremely high-quality anime called Aoi Hana, but the DVDs didn't sell so a second season hasn't been made."
Damn shame. |

WOO-HOO!
Once again, RightStuf have licensed one of those shows that you never expected to get licensed.... ANN: Right Stuf Adds Ristorante Paradiso, Hyakko, Aoi Hana Due out next year in what they describe as their 'budget-friendly' new range. Definite must buy, I think. |

The collection of all eleven 「青い花」episodes is scheduled for release on Blu-ray, on July 3, 2018, under the title "Sweet Blue Flowers" - w. English subtitles.
June 19 is the scheduled release date of the final 2-in-1 manga omnibus volume, in English translation, under the same title. |

Haven't really seen much of it, but probably should. Needs more love really. This is one of the few anime that seems to be actually about girls that are lesbians as opposed to the basement bargain tripe that passes itself off as yuri like Citrus.
