The seiyuu cast is great. I lost it at the production staff.

I really hope the ugly CG we got in the preview is just an initial concept draft of the final product. This has the potential to be something big, although I am still a little disappoint they did not choose the manga art.

Well so much bad rep about the CGI dragon, though I don't mind it even though it looks out of place
If you think that's just an initial concept draft of the final product, well usually many shows have an animation that improves such scenes from the PV in the first episode, and they are sometimes very noticeable.

Are you saying that Queen's Blade is not a quality product?! Gargh, this whole project is looking grim.

Wow, I'm liking the second PV much more than the first one. Indeed, I'm liking the animation as well.

I still much prefer the manga's designs but so far this looks good.

The second PV is pretty great overall. Plenty of characters of both genders suddenly appears, it's weird to see Yaya undressing herself midway but it's still charming. Her voice was incredibly cute and I'll most likely watch it.

Yaya's voice is ..... not what I expected. Her design feels a bit off as well.

Anyway they sure took characters out of every possible arc except the latest one, shuffled them together and showed them in random order. Overall solid animation.

Arggh. HitomiHarada have to use her "cute" voice instead of "strong tomboyish" one once more. Hope they at least give her opportunity to sing OP or ED

1st PV = Meh
2nd PV = Made up for the 1st one's failure to impress

Atleast that's how it worked for me

The second PV is without a doubt much better than the first one. This PV unlike the first is making me look forward to the anime.

Didn't see much difference between the 1st and 2nd PVs, but that was only because the art style completely distracted me from whatever differences there might have been. I am very disappointed that they neglected to use the far superior manga art style.

Still, I guess I'll give it a shot since I like the story after all.

Have people still not understood that an adaptation of a source means the chances of them using the art style of another adaptation of the source is highly unlikely? Once that simple hurdle of a fact is cleared there's no need to feel so disappointed when you know the chances of it happening are as high as winning the lottery jackpot on your first try.

On that note, LLO's art is superior.

I do understand that, but it doesn't make it any less disappointing. After all, it's the manga adaptation that got most of us interested in this series in the first place, and the manga's art style is vastly superior to the LN's. At least, to most people.

I just feel like it's an unnecessary hurdle against potentially enjoying an anime adaptation since as mentioned, it was an unlikely thing in the first place. Anyway, I'm just being a little touchy on this subject ever since the Maoyu thread sparked a few pages on this topic alone so uhh, back to your regular scheduled discussions.

(Personally I thought the manga art is pretty generic but w/e.)

I didn't like the LN pictures one bit. Having to stare at the style for 20+ minutes per episode wouldn't be my cup of tea, but since I do like the story... I'll just think of it as old art style anime or something (since the setting's in the past). Somehow I'll feel better like that.

So... no news on the number of episodes or how many volumes of the light novel that it'll adapt?

(If people actually desired a generic art form like the manga had, that goes to show just how good the LN art was (read: not).)

FYI, public opinion on the original art has nothing to do (or any say) with who gets to work on the manga adaptation or how it ends up looking like. By your logic that means Itachi's art style for the Haganai manga means the public found Buriki's art bad.

Also LLO's still getting work, which he wouldn't if people didn't desire his not good art.
