My queue was only 4k ish and took 30 minutes to clear.

3.6k took 1.5 hours and one disconnect. Luckily said disconnect knocked off about 500 from the queue lol

My game crashed while I was in Deep Dungeon. The queue back is 3.5k, which as I learned from the last crash is a lot longer than this morning.

The queue spot saving is nice for crashes...if only they could do the same for in game crashes so you can get back in a dungeon or anything within a couple minutes instead of basically being screwed. No sympathy for AFK kicks though.

Basically a given, literally any story game is going to have no lifers or sadists that just want to ruin it for everyone. Personally staying off my related discords.

Man I can’t even get into the character selection screen right now

Edit: finally get in only to have a 6k queue

Queue spot saving? I crashed and took multiple attempts to get back to character selection and it bumped me back nearly a thousand.

I grow nervous every time I hear the queue update whether I move forward or get kicked out.

Now that was a scare. Finally broke 1000 and immediate disconnected. Took 3 tries to just get back in the data center. Luckily this time I didn’t lose my place. Lol

I've lost time how many times I got kicked out of the queue and my spot was only saved once. I was around 400+. Every over time I go back to 5000+. One time, I got kicked out when I was around 150+ and sent back to 6k, sometime inside me died at that moment...

This seems to be a bigger issue for EU servers. In JP servers and some NA servers it seems much more stable.

Squeenix offering 7 extra days of game time as compensation for the login horrors, and possibly even more. 7 days for 2 days of hell, and maybe more than that.

When was the last time WoW did this?

The offering pleases me since I only had a week's time left, but at this point I had resolved to just wake up at 3 AM to hop on.

I have to get up early to get in but I have to work tomorrow and I got a bad feeling that it's going to be 5k

That tells me that this game is still growing and it's going to get worst. They need to get more servers for real.

They already planned that and IIRC the best they could do is starting from mid 2022.

Still, that's not including how the deal goes under current semiconductor shortage times, research of how many real players there (so there won't be another case of server merge due to lack of players; amount of player increase, sure, but how many of them actually playing instead of simply joining the hype boat), overall cost in regards to future planning, etc.

Ugh… no such thing as spot saving. Multiple times time I was kicked out of queue, took MANY tries just to get back into the data center, only to return some 500 to 1500 spots back in the queue…

Yeah it times out faster than I thought, unfortunately if you get stuck on the start button repeatedly you're just going to end up in the back of the line. Real shame they didn't upgrade beforehand.

It should get better as more people finish the story and just don't relog (since this is all they joined for, not the raids or playing more classes). I suspect this week we should see a steady decline in queue sizes.

Well it’s only been increasing for me. 3.6k on early launch day, 6k on day 2, and 7.8k today. Hopefully it eases up soon

When everything in Radz-at- Han goes completely to shit, G'raha goes into Exarch mode and proves to everyone how his 100 years of experience in crisis control in keeping the First Shard intact until your arrival proves he just isn't a junion Scion and WoL fanboy. So badass.

Wow they aren’t even letting me queue up right now

I noticed the drop off of queues yesterday and today (Aether DC). Before Thursday, around 1pm EST it was at about 2,000. Thursday saw it at 1100, and today 900. Not checking evening queues but I'm sure they're still in the thousands (not going to log out to check during primetime )
