On the other hand, the harem is much to my taste. If I hadnt know, I would have thought Taneda Risa and Mayaa Uchida voiced Lucia and Shizuru.

Hmm there isn't much competition for new anime this season so even if the anime's quality is sub par it's still better. Especially if fujoshi baits plague the season. Though seriously, I can't understand this anime timeline to Canon.

Really NOT impressed with the animation. It reminds me of of early to mid 00s, yikes. Such a shame.

The pacing is okay so far but the transitions between scenes are weird and don't blend together nicely. The OP visually I didn't like. Not only did it feel out of time with the song and the logo placement looked so cheap, the animation was so lackluster as is the rest of the show quality. The ending theme was better than the opening but again suffers from really low quality animation.

Episode 2

So Senri Akane is the witch-senpai and Koutaro asks her to use her witch powers to save him from the ribbon loli who eats him at night. Akane doesn't believe that there's such a loli and that there's some weird gigantic monster and that there's little palm sized girls with wings. Despite being in the Occult Research Club, she doesn't really believe in superpowers and other supernatural stuff. Then why the hell is it the Occult Research Club when you don't even believe in that stuff and don't want to research it either? Anyway, Koutaro takes on a mission to show proof of supernatural mumbo-jumbo and he's doing it all for the boobs. Would be pretty cool if he ends up winning and then does obscene stuff to her as part of the deal lol. And too help Kotarou in his mission to get his hands on some nice oppai, he gathers his harem. And now with the harem assembled, he will now embark on his mission. He should simply just show Akane his own rewrite power and get those boobs. That would be pretty effective. He has gathered all the misfits he knows in one place except for Yoshino. Poor guy must be feeling lonely. Lol Koutaro's prank on him backfired and he had to eat it all up to prevent the class rep from getting engulfed in flames even though she wasn't feeling the spiciness at all.

Well all the supernatural stuff is real. At least to him it's real. Like most VNs this is presented in first person, so you have to think about "narrator reliability," maybe MC-kun is insane or something. Eh, that doesn't seem likely based on the crumpled talismans.

Because the supernatural is real, he has a real shot at proving it. It might be a little hard, though. If the power is named "rewrite" (just speculation) and MC-kun has ripple-effect proof memory, the others won't remember that anything is out-of-place.

I did like the parfait switch scene. Does that class rep girl have no sense of taste? I thought she ate the spicy one and it didn't faze her. Tsunderes punching MCs just never gets old.

Didn't Akane answered with "she just took over it?" if you observe the room. The room is obvious VIP level accommodation. If Akane can remodel the room, it meant she's rich and has connection to allows it. The occult research club is probably just cover story. The research club is pretty obscure and no one is likely paying attention to it which leads to her having more freedom in movement.

I have watched enough anime to know that can easily be "retconned" with the MC actually sleepwalking and tearing the talismans itself. I suggest don't always assume, and don't quote me.

I'm completely hooked.

I'm a sucker for shows like this, especially the ones from Key (except little busters, and I don't know why) and the "dated" animation style is perfect for me.

I know I said before that the animation and the visuals are crappy and I still believed it but after watching it again and again. I've become used to it. I even felt that its fitting for some part of the story. I've just wish that they put more effort on it. Its already low budget anime but some parts are just too much cringe worthy. I like the facial expression of Kotori. It fits. The same for Kotarou.

I have not actually played the VN, but I am familiar with the plot, including the infamous route of which you speak. After they not only animated the bet, but also lingered on it by having Akane bring it up multiple times, I almost wonder if you might get your wish in an OVA.

That is probably indeed the best ending. Lol. Joking aside. Its indeed best if you compare it to the others. Lest bloodshed. Rewrite is key not being key.

I'm more interested the later part where it would be anime original or the so called 6th route. I'm looking forward for the first part but I've been doing the common route for lots of time already but its still funny. The combo of koutarou and kotori is always nice.

I'm actually considering watching Ange Vierge over this. What the hell?

Why does it look so bad!? Why does everyone's faces look like they're melting?!

And much more importantly: WHAT'S GOING ON!?

It's not my first time being confused over something from Key, but this is on a whole new level.

Also, this is not the anime staff's fault, of course, but something I want to mention: I don't like those female uniforms at all. They look like something a girl would wear while playing a fairy in a recital. Just look at Chihaya's outfit by comparison.

On the plus side, and to be fair, this is actually a big plus, I feel the girls have more of a, how to put it, "spark" this time around. Lucia and Chihaya are obvious, but even Kotori can be snarky and funny, and that's awesome. Shizuru is also an adorable little thing, and I loved her deadpan reply to Lucia regarding breasts. Akane... well, do I really need to say anything? One hell of a girl

I guess you can also say its nice to see how differently the supernatural element is being handled this time around, and it looks like it could be interesting, but so far its only been confusing.

And fart jokes? Really? And again, because its worth repeating, WHAT'S GOING ON!?

Oh yeah, and it feels rushed, like, the member gathering was done in a single episode? OK, sure.

Rewrite is LONGER than LITTLE BUSTER.

its suicide to do it in one cour. Especially the mystery and slice of life are all jumbled up. They tried to introduced it up early but its messed up.

I'm actually surprised because this is the first key work that's been turn into hunted house. Very few people even post or bother to watch it. Charlotte even has more viewers and posters but to be fair. I liked the first few episode introduction of it. It has more impact and more budget but seriously.... I'm sad for it.

Lucia's just so fun to watch.

So Tenouji got attacked this episode and we got a strange ending quote as well. Meanwhile, I think the comedy is much more than I had originally expected. Tennouji is fun to watch with his interactions with the other girls including Shizuku.

OP and ED theme songs are still among one of my favorites this season.

love the episode. It still had problems with the pacing and terrible animations and visuals but I will just rant about it every week while watching it. I just feel it. I still like it.

They already mentioned harvest festa but they didn't explain in much. They probably won't tackle it. Sakuya was introduced but seriously... that guy has red eyes >_> Fartarou-kun!!! comedy golden with YO-SHI-NO

I still find it funny no matter how many times I read/watched it. Especially the Chu2 part with Yoshino and Unkotarou-kun.

Lucia part is also nice. Lucia was also a lot cuter, heck they improved the girls overall appearance to me. Though they made too many fan service shot from Akane. Its like they are turning her into walking fan service instead of gaming hikki living inside the club room.

Tsuchinoko-lady. lol, first mission.

Mystery was shown in the later part of the story but still terrible pacing. They even shown tsundere midou as villain that summon the huge dog that chase down Ahotarou-kun.

Esaka and the old timers was also shown. More cute Shizuru moments are nice. Also loved the scene under the tree...

I just wished that Rewrite was handled better......

I'm loving every minute of it but I know it could be done better but why.....
