well i would appreciate some responses but so far the only solution i came up with was to not log out and to keep the hdd running because otherwise the divx web player would stop working
by the way i'm running a dell with windows 7 64 bit and an i5 processor 2.53 ghz and with some windows updates installed |

I would have responded but the lack of OS and now also browser made it impossible to make a solution. I presume you are using firefox?
I don't use the program itself specially if a player doesn't take that much space and I don't pretty much care for an extra hq button on other sites. Anyway, since I am presuming you are using firefox, possibe solution or at least with isues listed: http://labs.divx.com/node/14124 it says it could be because of clashing codecs, virtual memory. Last year this occured it seems because DivX failed to intergrate into windows7, but the best people who can help you on this is the support at divx because it seems the solution for it has to do with changing the .bat file. The solution isn't simple and I don't believe many here use it so I would suggest trying http://support.divx.com http://labs.divx.com/ has a lot of topics about this isue, some probably have the solution listed as to changign whatever is needed. It would be a much better place to ask or search in those topics (http://labs.divx.com/node/16742 http://www.ihav.net/vb/divx/divx-plu...r-1477260.html ) |

This is how to fix it:
1) Open task manager, click Processes tab. Right click on DDMService.exe and end process. 2) Copy the following and then open a command prompt: @ECHO OFF rmdir /s /q "%USERPROFILE%\videos\divx movies\Temporary Downloaded Files" del /q /s "%temp%\*" REM Clear DDM Stuff del /q /s "%APPDATA%\Local\Temp\DDM\Plugin\*" del /q /s "%APPDATA%\Local\Temp\DDM\Settings\*" del /q /s "%APPDATA%\Local\Temp\DDM\Settings\Tempo… Downloaded Files\*" rmdir /s /q "%TEMP%\boost_interprocess" rmdir /s /q "%LOCALAPPDATA%Low\boost_interprocess" pause 3) Close all browser windows. 4) Paste the above commands into command prompt and press enter. 5) Enjoy the functional divx web player again. This is one of the fixes that I came across but I'm unsure if this would not further mess the computer up. Is this programming language and if so how do I learn more about this |
