Welcome to this week's episode discussion thread. Today's objective will be to have unlimited amount of fun. The type of fun one gets in a traffic congestion with a coffee cake muffin on the lap and a cup of coffee on one's non-driving hand. Add to that is the emergent urgency to go potty. Yeah, let's have that kind of fun today by watching this week's episode.

Oh God!! just saw the episode and all I can say is that I am oozing with anticipation for next week.At last next week my favorite scene in Bleach will come.

As for the episode, I will forever be mentally scared after seeing the transformation of Swyazel and his disturbing sounds during the transformation.Those sounds will stayed in my head for a long time

And at last they finally revealed Nel's true identity.Who would have thought that Nel was an Espada.

It could also be interpreted as, this was a terrible episode -_- I hate transition episodes, especially when you're grinding the story as slow as possible.

^disagree with above although yes they are slowing up the story there is nothing bad about it. I hope this will be the last ep with a lengthy recap. I understand that we are close to the manga and slowing down the telling of the story and recaps are needed but the solution should have been to do a 2 season filler like last time. That way we got 2 seasons of manga material. Right now we are about 50 chapters away from where the manga is currently at and if u use 2 chapters for each ep then we only have 1 season of bleach. Hopefully they make The next arc into a expanded explanation arc.

That is the better option. At least you can ignore fillers entirely. Slow episodes have the content you want to see in there just in small amounts. So if you want to keep watching the series you've gotta watch those.

Hopefully we aren't constantly killing half the episode in terms of flashbacks. First one back was 3/4, this one was about 1/2, so next week should be 1/4

Also you people need to put ANYTHING that can be considered unknown material in spoilers tags. No way anyone who didn't follow the manga (me) would know there would be an X arc.

Also you people need to put ANYTHING that can be considered unknown material in spoilers tags. No way anyone who didn't follow the manga (me) would know there would be an X arc.

I'm not entirely convinced dedicating half the show to recap, and then a slow grind, gives notably better ratings than a decently animated filler that actually moves at a decent speed.

even with the additional flashbacks of Renji and Ishida fighting Pinky (blah can't spell his name worth crap), you do know the episode covered 2 chapters right? that's pretty decent pacing IMO

I'm ok with the rhythm of the action. Hope they're done with the flashbacks tho.
The "Pinky" guy has a creepy transformation and a wierd power. He kinda looks like an evil fairy.
I'm glad we are finnaly going to see why Nel is an Arrancar.
