The reason why I think they'll join together is mainly because of this picture which essentially shows all the good guys except for Teruyama (but that made his entrance an ever bigger surprise).

Anything is possible in Needless with the ability to clone people AND rearrange their memories. But I don't think we need that for Aruka to show that she switched sides and was on Cruz's side; we already saw that in 99 and 100 meaning she is essentially on Cruz's side at that time. That'd be enough for me to show that she's on the good side for that picture to work.

In Needless, we've never really seen how a fragment develops in a person, since everyone we've seen already has their power and can use it to fight or whatever. With Cruz realizing his in Chapter 100, we'll get to see all the steps that it takes for a Needless to go from having no power to controlling their power with their brain and using it for whatever. In the 4koma there's a a bit where Setsuna says the girls don't have parents. That got me thinking about how the girls actually end up at the Saint Rose school. If they had already shown signs of having fragments, knowing Simeon I could see them either being kidnapped or bought outright. Regardless of how it happened, I agree it would be interesting to see how well they could control their powers after they first manifested. Could you imagine how many times Kuchinashi probably paralyzed herself trying to master her maiden restriction.

This certainly seems possible, although I suspect that if Cruz was to fight Setsuna, he would loose at first, simply because he doesn't have any experience fighting. If Setsuna, and Kuchinashi do join the team, I could actually see all three girls actually teaching him how to better control his powers, and fight.

@Avvesine I agree with what you said, Cruz would want to gather everybody back together, although I do hope Disk will take a moment to explain the Pill, and how she discovered that Cruz was becoming a Needless next chapter.

Don't get me wrong Soji, I agree with you. An actual fight with someone would be the quickest way for Cruz to learn how to control his powers. I just not so sure that a fight or Cruz's awaking will be enough to convince Setsuna to change sides. She truly believes that Arclight is planning on creating a utopia for Needless, and until she see's proof that everything he's promising is a lie, she'll continue to support him, although you never know. Cruz can be rather convincing.

That's true. But Sestuna does prise Blade when he learn her fragment. In Blade case she know he was strong,but she know Cruz as well plus like I say they past time togheter in the Rose accademy arc. She come to kill him ,true but she think was something fast ...if you see how she change when mio chose to be on Cruz side. The thing that I trully wonder is,what would happen in a fight where she need time to take Cruz donw. he does seem more hard to kill now that ever.I dont say she would change side just for this,but I really wonder if see Cruz fight head on her or at least dont just stay there to take the hit. if this dont would make her change a little her thought. No to mention,i really cant belive that the time in the Rose Accademy when Cruz was with her and Kushinasi mean nothing for her.But that just me.

And just what is Cruz's power? Let's think back to the moments he might have used a power. When did Cruz survive things he shouldn't have or when did he perform feats he shouldn't have been able to?

• In chapter 50 he survives the PF zero blast.

• In chapter 54 he manages to pull up Eve.

• In chapter 55 he survives falling off a huge cliff. A small crater is formed where he lands.

• In chapter 82 he parts the sea of darkness after AnN told him he needs a power to guide him.

• In chapter 85/86 he 'tanks' the hits from Mengroze's creations.

• In chapter 87 he 'tanks' Strom's Vajra Cruel Fist.

• In chapter 100 he breaks the chains holding him down and he survives the flames of Agnishwattas and even blows them away.

Maybe it's something like 'rejection'? Rejection would kind of explain his durability as well.

I don't think Cruz's durability needs to be explained. Just being a Needless means he's tougher than ordinary humans - see for example how quickly Setsuna recovers from her injuries during the St Rose arc. And he certainly isn't immune to damage - Hatfield was able to break his arm easily enough, and I can't even begin to estimate how much blood he's shed over the course of 100 episodes.

As far as I can see, chapter 100 is the only point where Cruz has definitely exhibited a Needless power. We still don't know how he was saved from the PF Zero blast, and he parted the sea of darkness simply by using his memories to fill in the gaps (at least, that's how it's explained). And like I said before, it's not inconsistent with him using Agnishwattas.

(Of course, Cruz is being a very bad boy, and breaking the rules by not telling us what power he's using. Disk taught him to call out the name of his killer move before using it, so he really has no excuse...)

Anyway, here's something else I noticed. Remember I commented on how we only see Cruz's left eye change, and the right is obscured? Well, while I was concentrating on him and going off on flights of fancy about ocular Stigmata, I missed something really obvious. Take a look at page 17 - the whole page, not just the close-up of Cruz's face... With his hair covering his eye like that, Cruz is copying Arclight's appearance. I don't really want to believe it myself, but is this a clue that he's also copying the power Arclight used on him? In other words, does he possess Zero???

Rather than just showing up and trying to convince Setsuna and Kuchinashi to join their side, I'd imagine Cruz could manifest the angel before Setsuna to show her that Mio was right and that Cruz shouldn't die (if at all possible). Remember, the reason Mio switched sides was because of the angel and Setsuna said she didn't believe her. If he could reproduce ANn or something, that might be enough (especially since the flag has been raised for an angel to appear and before Setsuna and Mio no less).

If not, then having Blade, Eve, and Cruz show up and beat them up would be another alternative. Then, before dealing the final blow, Cruz could offer them the chance to join his team, showing his trademark kindness and intelligence in getting them to switch sides. Or it could be something else entirely.

Yeah, Setsuna is arrogant and pretty steadfast in her ways but there should be a way for her and Kuchinashi to join Cruz's team before the arc is over. I don't see them staying enemies for too much longer, especially that's likely Cruz's next destination.

my thoughts on that are a little simpler than yours, i think they are going to have a hard fight and then arclight will kill Riru in favor of a clone or has already done so and the pretty girl sqaud will find out, they are after all loyal to Riru over Arclight i think.

btw where did this talk of Yamada being a zero come from did i miss something? or is 101 out already?
