Kirishima-Lymann High Impulse Nuclear Assault ThruSter Unit (HINATSU)

Is a series of auxiliary propulsion system with high TSFC value, built around the entire body of JANPS reactor, it was capable of boosting I.S. to orbit or traveling very long distance with extreme rapidity. It's compatible with most I.S. frame due to mounting adaptability.

At five meters long, the thuster unit is comically oversized when mounted, but still smaller and therefor lighter than any conventional rocket booster will be. It's main engine is dual-natured, therefore capable of conserving fuel during atmospheric flight. As side benefit of it's MHD cooling system, HINATSU produce 200 kW worth of electrical power.

Due to their cost, the unit is not inherently disposable. As such, they are equipped with rudimentary remote control system directly slaved to either the I.S. or mission control, allowing them to temporarily leave dangerous battlefield.

Yeah, Vanguard Overboost in appearance and function, but different internal concept, it's also not cheap.

Yeah, jet engine the size of your palm exist. As I said before, human engineering always better scaled down than up

I'm thinking about designs for the Silverbacks for mine as well.

I have multiple designs in mind and planning on using them all. It's said in chapter 6 that the Silverback is like a hybrid-IS, but for guys.

Here's a little something that'll be in Ch. 7; when a Silverback's being used for the first time, it'll be in what's called it's "Beta Phase". It's basically the equivalent to the IS's Default Setting.

The design/appearance of the Silverback in its Beta Phase will be similar to that of the Delta 6 Accelerator Suit, from the G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra film.

The difference is that the visors will have this "tint" on them to cover the face and there are no weapons or devices on the forearms, as you see in that picture.

Yeah, the small baryonic decay engines are a much smaller scale just enough to power the individual bit parts... but in a way it's kind of overkill since they resonate on the same wavelength seeing as their magnetic fields are made from the same monopoles...

Though I can't really tell if making another monopole with another monopole will result in resonance wavelength.

No matter how many mounted, the result will be 2.

Say, three twin drive system still result in 3 x 4 = 12 times the output of single drive.

Small size also have it's problem due to volume/surface ratio.

I wonder how much ammo pilots waste on stupid shite all the time.

They can regenerate it, I.S. ammo disappear after use and returned to the core as data, just like everything in their inventory.

So if you have an I.S.-grade bullet lodged in your armor, it'll disappear later.
