Well, I don't think it was a promise per se, but doesn't the fact that Kallen is still piloting (presumably) kinda go against Lelouch's wish that she would live in a peaceful world and not have to pilot war machines like those anymore.

Then again, she could be piloting for another reason.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Kallen's allowed to pilot. Seeing how there are civilian-use Knightmare Frames in Code Geass... well, a promise to never pilot one again kinda restricts her from piloting those civ machines.

And last I checked, Kallen promised nothing.

if i remember right, the birthday PD has Lelouch and Kallen talking
and one of the things she says is that "even though i'm back in school, the part of me that piloted the guren is also a part of me"
to which Lelouch responds rather favorably, stating that he hopes she'll accomplish everything she wants to do

Last I checked, the only promises for the ZR time period were between Lelouch and Suzaku. "You must kill me, as promised."

Name the promises you're talking about so we know what exactly you're trying to get at, please.

I suspect Bonzo means the promise between Kallen and Lelouch.

He wanted her to return to Ashford to live a peaceful life. That promise was fulfilled. Though her being near the Guren's side disrupts that promise. We don't really know, maybe it was obligatory and maybe she was just planning on saying goodbye to Guren.. or something else.

Or something in that case, though I doubt that is it...

You can add Nina, after the disaster she did, she dropped the science, but seems she changed mind.

I can imagine Rivalz becomed kallen's mum caretaker considering kallen will never at home if after school go to test robots. XD

The promises you are all speak about, are not that literal, they are just "what comes out of Lelouch's wish for the world."
To be technically accurate and actually true to the script, Kallen promised nothing to Lelouch, and Lelouch promised nothing to Kallen. Apart from that booklet, where he "said" he wants her little wish for her or something.
But yeah, we should not start non-literal promises just cause.

After the fleija disaster, she decided to drop everything because the choice was, stop or become a scientist without soul like Lloyd.

Then Lelouch "kidnapped" her for to build the fleija eraser.

At last she say she must restart from the beginning to understand her right way.

And now, in that drama picture, she still a scientist together with lloyd and cecille...

There's enough contradiction on that, yes, some women are moody, but...whoa.

Her mother seems to be doing pretty well, and last I checked, Kallen wasn't Sochie, her happy ending (Ok Sochie didn't get an happy ending anyway) wasn't having to take care of her mother. She can live her life and live with her mother :/
And Lelouch's wish for Kallen was to have her fulfilling her dreams. Like she told him in the PD, looks like the pilot in her is part of her dream.

Now none of the character made any promises of any kind, so this PD looks just fine.
I don't even remember having Nina dropping science :/

Last I checked she didn't give up on science, she simply made a way to neutralize her own weapon, as a chance to atone.

For all we know, Kallen's desire in life now is to eternally hunt down C.C. with the Guren SEITEN and smash through walls solely to interrupt moments she might be having.

I'd pay to see something like that.

Anyway, what Rising Dragon said. And Nina in hiding is a bit different from the person she was at the end of the series - either way, she didn't promise anything to anyone.

And... Lloyd doesn't have a soul now? Woah. Always thought that was Schneizel's field of experise.
