i don't get why GSC/Alter don't want to make PVC figures out of the Nanoha series anymore. In megami magazine, you see alot of their posters/pictures but not figures. If is so famous and all, why wouldn't they make any, I dont seem to like how Movic make their Nanoha figures. I'm still holding hopes GSC/Alter making one.

Got some new loot today, while preordering C73 stuff (StrikerS nano! Volume 2 and Bankett! 2)


The Bankett! cards are probably the only real interesting thing for most people here. The actual card quality is pretty bad... no gloss, so they feel really cardboard-y. The art quality varies a lot from the scary

to the good


I'll probably scan the rulesheet in a bit... watch this space.

In due time, in due time. They're probably waiting for a very good sculpt to come along and pick it up. Unlike Movic who seem more interested in milking stupid fanboys of their money than be known for nice looking figures.

Somewhat local doujinshi store, so not really any site. They just order from Melonbooks anyway, but since Melonbooks doesn't do international shipping... . Everythings ends up about double the list price, which isn't too bad, especially compared to some agent service commision and fees. An online agent service I've used before is Japan Auction Agency, which has a shipping only service, which saves a bit of money if you can order from a Japanese site.

Bankett rules are pretty simple, and it's basically a direct copy of Magic with some minor changes. Do note that it's been years since I played Magic, so they might have changed some terms around...
Set = cast
Character = Creature
Item = Enchant creature (Equipped character gains new abilities)
Trick = Instant / Interrupt (Can be played out of turn)
Strategy = Sorcery
Field = Enchantment (Affects everyone, always active)
* Factor = Land (Kind of)

Deck construction rules are the same, except that decks must be exactly 60 cards, no more than 4 duplicates of each card. (Who the heck would actually buy 4 packs of Bankett? Card selection is rather limited too, but I suppose it's more of a collectors item anyway... I seem to remember there being some fan-made Magic cards somewhere on this board a while back... )

Turn order
1 - Reset phase (Untap)
2 - Draw phase (draw 2 cards, first player doesn't draw on the first turn)
3 - Charge phase (Choose one card from your hand, and put it into play as a Factor card. As far as I know, that's where it'll stay too.)
4 - Main Phase (Set a character, set up, set an Item, set a Field, use a Trick, use a Strategy, declare an attack.)

Each card has two components required to play it, a "Factor" and a cost. Each Factor card gives one point of the specific color, and you need to use enough to cover the Factor value of the card you want to play. Cost is the number of cards you have to dump from the top of your deck.

Some characters are labeled as "Set Up", and these are upgrades of the character. They can only be played on the base character, which cannot have acted yet.

Using a character or item's effects doesn't tap the card apparently, but they can't be used if tapped.

Attack phases
1 - Declare an attack (Choose attackers)
2 - Declare a defense (No rules for multiple defenders)
3 - Response
4 - Resolve responses
5 - Resolve battle (Damage to the defending player takes cards off the top of the deck. If a character suffers damage greater than their endurance in one turn, they are lost)

Game ends when one player must draw a card, but has run out of cards in the deck.

Skills
1 - Schneller = Can attack or use effects on the turn they come into play or are set up.
2 - Initiative = First strike in battle
3 - Drängen = Trample (Any damage past the required amount in battle hits the enemy player)
4 - Set Up = Cannot be played by itself. Refer to above.

Something similar to this can probably be set up if anyone wants netplay. The rules are similar enough to Magic that it'd probably work nearly straight out of the original program.
