Rubel doesn't want the Organization (his enemy) to get 100% obedient-controllable mass-produced slave weapons (worst case scenario).

Half Awakens at the time was the answer for the Organization to achieve this. So Rubel made sure the Organization never found out about Half Awakens, even if it meant killing them off.

So he tried to kill Clare and maybe Jean (unsure if Rubel found out about Jean being a Half Awaken or not) off (and maybe he had a part in getting the Organization to try to kill off Miria, Deneve, and Helen).

however, it doesn't quite make sense why he-Rubel (remember Clare luckily found him, or else she'd probably be dead-killed) let Clare have her way and get Teresa's head implanted into her becoming a unique new type of Claymore or a test case.

unless... Rubel is building his own forces up....*grins*....

Rubel is "cozy-ally-friends" with Rafaela, a very mysterious very old Claymore with at least the same power as of her Abyssal One sister Luciela, even having some "god-level" yoki power (she tries to revive luciela back from death!), and had something special-terrible that gave "birth" to the Destroyer's conscious-mind and ultimately changed her into the Destroyer.

Rubel is "cozy-ally-friends" with Miria, due to informing her of the truth of the Organization, he got her trust-loyalty-support. Miria is also an extremely powerful Claymore, actually Half Awaken. Miria is also uniquely the #1 Commander. Best leader of all the Claymores.

Rubel is "cozy-ally-friends" with Galatea, due to informing her of the truth of the Organization, especially about Alicia and Beth and the Soul Link. God-Eye Galatea is a very powerful Claymore to have as an ally.

(Rubel sure knows which are the "POWER PLAYERS" to pick for his team....)

Rubel, finally, makes and has CLARE. Clare is an unique Claymore with the flesh of another Claymore implanted into her instead of a normal yoma's flesh, and not just any Claymore, but Teresa herself!!! Clare then becomes a Half Awaken as well. This is at first bad for Rubel...but then due to circumstances...Half Awakens secrecy don't matter that much anymore.... because....

The Organization has found a way to achieve the 100% obedient-controllable mass-produced slave weapons in the form of the Abyss Feeders (which includes using the Soul Link). While individually not as powerful as the Abyssal Ones, they certainly dominated (well that's not really fair as Helen and Deneve were already fighting against Isley before they arrived and fought) against Helen and Deneve. They even killed Isley, an Abyssal One, (through attrition).

This is very bad for Rubel and his (dragons' kins and dragons') side.

Fortunately, he has his perfect forces in place for this:

Extremely powerful Half Awakens:

Clare (SPECIAL) = Clare (her own power) + Rafaela (god-like yoki power and Abyssal One power and knowledge of the Soul Link, Alicia, Beth, and the Destroyer) + Irene (quick sword and power)

Miria (LEADERSHIP and speed)

the God-Eye (powerful yoki user) who also knows about the Soul Link and Alicia+Beth:

Galatea

Lastly:

the Destroyer

(these aren't Rubel's forces but they are also against the Organization):

the other Ghosts (Deneve, Helen, Cynthia, Tabatha, and Yuma) and Miata and Clarice

unknowns (as to which side they'll truely or only be on):

Renee, Dietrich, Audrey, and Rachel

So I'm assuming you mean on your death list includes: Org Retrieval Squad Members, Galatea, Mitia, Clarice, Yuma, Cynthia, Tabitha, Beth, Alicia, Riful, Duff, Dietrich, Nina, Renee, Rachael, Audrey, more AFs, Cid, Galk, and Father Vincent. Many of which aren't even in danger, yet...

Hmmm, I did forget about Raki and The Destroyer.

Ok then. As long as Miria, Clare, Raki, Deneve, Helen and The Destroyer stay alive, I hope that lots of characters die in the next chapters. Just to make the manga more entertaining.

There hasn't been major deaths, with the exception of Isley, since the Northern War.

So you don't care if Beth (for example) kills off Priscilla next chapter (for whatever reason)... or if Clare shows up and kills Priscilla in 2 panels flat... I'd say that would be very anti-climatic.

To be honest... I want this series of fights to set the stage for the next show down... a death or two is fine but too many too soon would take away from the epicness to come, so to speak. For example I want the big three to now be the org, the ghosts, and the surviving awakened beings lead by Riful (I prefer if both twins were on her side, but only one is fine). I want Priscilla and the Destroyer to be the dynamic that forces them all to act, the Awakened Beings have to stop her since she's eating to much and they need food too... the Ghosts won't stand for her mass feedings... and the Org has no choice but to regain control of the island for the sake of there survival. Though I'd admit I would be fine with another idea too... mainly the org taking in Priscilla since the new Raki creature can control her and having the other two groups both trying to fend of the organizations sheer dominance with those two plus some new AF's from Isley's remains.

I've heard some other good ideas too, of where Claymore should go...

Dies from Priscilla's hand or beaten down so much that Priscilla just doesn't care about her and continues on her way and is picked off by another...

those ghosts prevented many deaths:

they saved (in roughly chronological order):

1. Nina, unknown claymore, unknown claymore, Clarice. (in the northern lands from a 4 AB ambush)

2. Audrey, Rachel, unknown claymore, unknown claymore. (coming south out of the northern lands from Riful)

3. Miata, Clarice, Galatea. (in holy city Rabona from themselves and Agatha)

4. Dietrich, unnamed claymore (rank 30-47), unnamed claymore (rank 30-47), unnamed claymore (rank 30-47). (in the southern lands from an AB)

5. unnamed claymore (rank 14), unknown claymore, unknown claymore, MiB, MiB, (Rubel was there but hiding so wasn't ever in danger). (in Lacroa from a yoma/AB can't remember which it was)

~6. Renee. (in the western lands INDIRECTLY from Riful. Clare's arrival provides Renee with the diversion-opportunity to get away)

Raki:

7. Renee. (in the southern lands or western lands, in raki's home town, from Priscilla, lol)

Also, you forgot Father Vincent, Cid and Galk.

Ryus: I guess Priscilla should kill Beth. I can only hope that Alicia fully Awakens from it and kills everything around herself.

i actually find it kind of cool...

for most of the manga, the Claymores are killing off stuff (with a few exceptions thanks to Clare)

then the 7 years time frame hits and we have the rebel claymores, the GHOSTS, whom:

Cynthia loses all her limbs and part of her internal organs and begs Yuma to end her suffering. Yuma instead attempts to synchronize her yoki to save Cynthia.

Riful is shocked by Priscilla's strength from afar.

Edit: Forgot to mention that Priscilla defeats both twins in her human form. It doesn't say if they are killed or severely crippled until they can't attack her.
