Since every second group these days is searching for a capper in their recruitment posts (not that it has any effect anyway), I've been wondering if there are any groups (besides the obvious ones) which don't rely on borrowing, buying (btw, paying money for marginally better quality and captions = dumb) and leeching their .tses.

This doesn't really answer the question, but there are to my knowledge (and it is my business to know) basically only three individuals through which ts's enter the fansub scene. All of them are understandably somewhat paranoid.
