I disagree that he represents everything that's wrong with the world, even though I agree that he's the worst kind of person. He's selfish to the exclusion of everyone. He lives only for #1, himself, and has no moral qualms. Everything that's wrong with the world is better represented by Saji. The average good person doing nothing because they are satisfied with their life, their peace, their prosperity, and when shown other people's suffering, they lash out.

I disagree with you fully.

If you think a good person can represent the world, you're sorely mistaken. The world isn't a nice place. It's full of sin, to a point where even the good commit these acts. You can't have saji represent the world, because the world is nothing like saji. Just think, if someone had their sister killed if they wouldn't go out looking for the killer. Or if he could grow up emotionally stable without his parents. Saji is just this lost soul, but he's not a rep of the world, could never be, because the world is nothing like him.

Saji isn't satisfied with his life...his life sucks. He lost his parents at a young age, his sister (closest/last remaining relative) was murdered in a back ally (by ali (as if he were a mugger or gangster)), his girlfriend lost her arm, she rejected him, he is on the run from the government for a misunderstanding, he is working for the organization he hates and on top of all that his x-girlfriend wants/wanted to kill him = That is not a "stable, peaceful" world to me.

I'm sorry I should have said S1 Saji. And I meant that us westerners are to a vast majority, naive, blind, or uncaring about the rest of the world. Also, this is the wrong place for this discussion.
