The point isn't if a few games will be played with a different controller. The point is if this game system will change the vision of how games are made and played.
While I am personally doubtful about how easy to use or ergonomically sound their controller is, I can see tremendous potential in making games more intuitively obvious to control and involving if it works. By translating the motions of your own body into the motions of your avatar, it could bring you closer to the action, bridging the gap between reality and fantasy. If this experiment in creating a new archtype is successful, then it is probable that the old style of controller that is used by the PS and XboX will be discarded and many new games will insist on using such a control schema, regardless of the system. If Nintendo is correct about how the Revolution will effect the future of gaming, those systems will have to adapt a revolution style controller in order to remain competitive. That is what is meant by the Nintendo Revolution remaking the way that games are played. It is a very interesting experiment in game design. Unfortunately, until I play a Revolution game, I won't have any clue if this idea is bad, decent or amazing.

Yeah I can see it changing the way anime games are played. Especially Bleach. That isn't really a good question. If it is meant to change how other games play then it will also change how anime games play, simple as that.
DBZ Sparking Neo (a fighting game) was recently announced for the PS2 and Revolution. I'm sure they're not just gonna port it over to the Rev and be done with it. |
