Viz was just absolutely cruel to this

They take waaaay to long to translate anything from the light novels, when it took Baka-Tsuki only a few months to get about 5-6 novels out in English... Curse you Viz

I was actually just checking on this earlier today. The last SnS light novel to be released was Volume 2 (Fight Day!), published in Oct 2007. There was some word that Volume 3 would be out in Summer '08, but that obviously didn't happen.

After almost three years with nothing to show for it, VIZ should just release the license and let the fans go back to it. -.-

As for the manga, there's a release planned for Sep 21, but that's only Vol 6, which only goes up to roughly where the second light novel ends, so it's not like it's ahead or anything. -.-

Yeah!!

As long as the novels keep going, a season 3 will eventually come out. Since J.C Staff is waiting for the novels to finish, so they do not have to stop after a certain episode and wait like 3 months for a novel to appear.

She broke down after Yuji rejected her. She saw Wilhelmina off in vol 17 and I don't think she has made an appearance since. She will probably be in vol 21 though since it takes place back in Misaki City.

It's kinda unusual that she's gonna break apart like that, really, considering that the anime ending did not happen (also meaning that Ike prolly didn't have the chance to propose to Kazumi).

One of the 'Four Gods of the Motherland' (That's what the Sub in Shana season 2 ep8 called them) said that even if they SoF and Yuji create a new world in the void and drain the existence out of that instead, it could still upset the balance of the worlds and destroy both Guze and Earth (from Vol20). Though SoF doesn't believe what he's doing will harm any worlds permanantly, if at all.

Then again, when Tlaloc said that, he wasn't 100% sure either....and he's what? A Lord? This is a true God we are talking about here.

I'm predicting about the 23-24th novel will end it. Since 21 will be the first of the finales to the novel.

Well. The Anime is defiantly going to come in 2011 I'm positive about that. But the novels will probably end near late-2011 or early-2012 with the speed its going.

I really hope not.. The invented endings they had for Season 1 and Season 2 were sorta awkward.. Well Season 1 had a "decent" one.. But Season 2 with that Statue of Pride thing.. Well it was a good plot, which will be what Season 3 will base on at the start.. So we may never know.

Imo, i think these endings are good, especially if you compare to other animes that have invented endings. The problem is that you can't base the season next on them. Or they'll be obliged to not follow the novels on the point that the romance is.
But it could be a good solution. Love just starting ... and suddenly, Yuji becoming evil.
