I completely agree with everyone here Blewin, thank you very much for taking the time to time to translate the novel for us who cant read Japanese. I must also agree the novel goes into so much depth (this is my first time reading a light novel and i love the way everything is so much more detailed). I love the show and manga very much so i appreciate it very much. Keep up the great work!

P.S Your Awesome!

it's either an error of the chinese translation or a typing error by blewin...

Thanks for Blewin for giving a chance for us who hardly understands japanese(even less it's symbols) to actually read the Light Novels.
Spoiler for response:

by the way, do we have to use spoiler tags here?

Is this anime or novel source? I've checked back in the Jap raw, and the Kanji (about the only Jap I can read, since it's basically Chinese) says 14. Guess we might need someone who can read entire Jap to verify this.

it's said either in the anime and/or in missing mail, also, the japanese page on wikipedia as well as other few sources...

oh.. I'll try to get someone to verify the Japanese in the novel.

In the Chinese translation, it reads: "the colour of gem" / "like a gem". It likens the colour to that of a gem's. There isn't a specification on exactly what colour it is.

I think the spoiler tzags are usefull if we discuss freshly translated chapters or about any kind of non-translated chapter. Some ppl only visit the thread just to confirm if the next chapter is translated or not or other things about the LN translators(currently only you )
Oh and i forgot to mention previously that you did a realy quick job with the 4th chapter. Thanks.

Gem-like means shiny and bright and in the most cases green or blue(or the mix of them). I think the gem-like light that Layfon meant is a totally pure light in other words.

Probably pure as in "glass-like," that is, a clear and bright radiance.

Would "Resting Room" be better translated as "Locker Room/Lounge/Dugout?"

great suggestion, Redlar. would Locker Room sound better? oh, BTW, are you THE Redlar on wiki? If so, would you mind changing the term there then? I'll keep the new term in mind when it comes up in other chapters. thx.

I think willyvereb means bright. When I read "gem-like", I envisioned the bright (white) and shinny light of the sun.

If someone wants to translate the Japanese sentence: 更なる幸運は、たかが十四歳でしかない子供の自分が天剣授受者でいられたという事実。

更なる幸運は: Further luck
たかが: at most / no more than (?)
十四歳で: 14 years old
しかない: have no choice
子供の自分が: I as a child (?)
天剣授受者で: Tentsurugi (Heaven's Blade?) receiver
いられた: to get in (?)
という事実: the fact that (?)

So, something like, "I was just 14 and had no choice but to become a Heaven's Blade reciever."

I personally tried reading the LN, but I couldn't stand the semi-engrish. I guess I'll just have to wait for a better translation, or at least until somebody cleans up the current one.

Thanks Blewin for translating so fast. I am finding the novels 10 times better than the anime.

Shame on me for ignoring the novels until now but thanks to the english translation, I can't ignore it anymore. Thanks bakatsuki, blewin. There seem to be some changes in the order of events in the novels and anime, but it all works out. I loved the latest chapter.

the next chapter is almost twice as long, so please bear with me.
