AHHAHAHA Oh god this is literally garbage, first Yuu goes around the world full edgy mode killing random people meanwhile he pick up the powers (he gets healing power but he can't heal his own eye GENIUS), then he goes even more further in his edginess when suddenly a random X girl appears to save the life of overpowered yuu? LOL.
If all that asspull wasn't enough he lost his memories and his relationship with NAO and for some random reason everything is OK now, happy ending for everyone. Maeda strikes again, the Plot was completely predictable trying too hard to mix bullshit out of nowhere like the terrorist attack and random characters. We have the time-traveling, the deaths, the powers, the torture, etc. Talking about the characters EVERYONE is completely irrelevant the plot, Sala doesn't have any kind of relevancy to anything, Nao's brother too, same for speedbro, etc. In the end charlotte is the worst show of the season and one of the most terrible stories made by Maeda, final veredic for this is a 1/10. ----------------------- They announced REWRITE! http://www.rewrite-anime.tv/ Staff: Director: Tensho. Script: Tensho with Tanaka Romeo and kai. Character design: Masayuki Nonaka. Original design: Itaru Hinoue Studio: 8-Bit |

I wasn't able to watch the full final Charlotte ep yet, though let me at least as a Key follower feel happy for the partially related news that it was announced after this Charlotte episode that Rewrite will get an anime!
(Of course following LB! there is worry that it will suck, but with Tanaka Romeo involved in production I hope at least the show won't have much inconsistency problem)

The ending felt anti-climatic imo.
So Yuu tried to get rid of other people's powers....that was predictable and near the end was as well. However, I will say that the first half of this show was pretty fun to watch. Also really liked some of the music in this series like the theme songs used in the final episode. Average show imo though.

Overall, a good entry-level anime for people who just started watching anime. Will give it a 7/10 as an entry-level anime. Though, with the initial scene where Shun had really fierce eyes, I thought there would be some drama and backstabbing. Good thing there wasn't.
EDIT: Enjoyed the voice-acting at least, especially that of Tomori. |

I'd add that stealing a power that prevent one from sleeping is going to mess your shit bad! The Machinist, Fight Club or Zero Dark Thirty show people the funny things that happens through insomnia. On a more anedoctical level, my first job had pushed me through five days w/o any sleep, I dont wish it to anyone. It's a fucking miracle that Yu didn't fry his brain or go into a vegetative state. 6.5/10 or 13/20 for me. The lowest point of the show was the 11th one. |

He had some flashes with images of dead people inside the ruins of a building, he was the one who destroyed that building.

Hmm. Say, if Yuu is on the verge of death, and he says the same lines, including about forgetting Nao and telling her how the flash cards were like a good-luck charm to him until the end etc. etc., and then dies. Would that be a better ending? That would actually make it more memorable to me.

So Yuu travels the world stealing powers. He gets some pretty damn cool powers. Teleportation, freezing stuff, turning stuff to gold, healing ability. He becomes super OP. He doesn't use the healing ability because he doesn't want to use these abilities for himself. Also, if he goes back to save Pooh, he'll have to do all this stuff again so for the greater good, Pooh shall stay dead.
All that plundering took a toll on his mind and he started losing it. He goes crazy but continues to steal all the abilities because he feels that it's important. The flashcards help him continue. Was sad to see Yuu not remembering anyone, especially Nao anymore. Poor girl was waiting for him all this time only to find out that he has no memories of her. Maybe all those videos she made can help jog his memory. This was quite the anime. Maeda lived up to his words because I enjoyed this more than Angel Beats. Yuu's development through his interactions with Nao were shown beautifully. Nao really changed Yuu and turned him into a better person as opposed to the rotten guy he was prior to meeting her. The music was good overall. Had good comedy. Takajo should have gotten some development or something like what happened with Misa in the previous episode. He was a cool guy but was ignored. They could have used his development and make it effect Yuu in some way since Yuu was the focus in this whole thing. Other than that, great anime overall. |

If there wasn't enough room to flesh out this mess, at least it could've been bolder and gone out with a bang. But nope, nothing memorable happened. Instead of a finale, i was watching a disconnected and bureaucratic epilogue where boxes were being checked. It's a shame because i was enjoying Charlotte more than most people, at least up to the 11th episode. Btw, Yuu's refusal to heal his eyes made no sense. He didn't need to use the time leap, just healing himself wouldn't hurt. There was no excuse as he was abusing all the other skills to make things easier for him, and taking people out, over the whole journey. |

Just remember there'll be a special OVA episode included with the 7th Bluray of Charlotte, releasing 23 March 2016.
Either the writers use it to explain hanging subplots in the main story, or it ends up being a fanservice/flashback episode. It could go either way. |

I watched the last 2 episodes back to back, I really didn't want to rage for a week if ep12 turned out to be another disappointing episode.
There were many who thought Yu would go around the world and plunder every ability there was, and they were right! I'm quite sure you all should receive a prize of some sort for correctly predicting that. I was leaning more towards another time leap where everything is fixed like the ending of clannad after story but instead we got another angel beats ending. For those who were waiting for Shun to turn evil, sorry, better luck next time And as with almost everyone who watched until the end, episode 11 was a turning point of sorts. Everything took a turn for the worse after that. I was expecting great things from the series right until that point. The last time I've seen something this disappointing was when The Pilot's Love Song's last episode aired. They didn't even tie up all the loose plot threads: Why was Tomori being beaten up by her classmates despite being the Student Council President as seen in one of the earlier episodes? Was the blind singer of ZHIEND just in the series as a convenient plot device to wake Tomori's brother up and make Yu regain his memories from before Shun's time leap? If they're already in a different timeline after Yu saves Ayumi, who then woke up Tomori's brother? Yu waking up Tomori's brother is a huge turning point in their relationship, and it was practically erased when Yu time leaped. He didn't have time to accompany the blind girl around since Yu was not able to leave the bunker, and then the events leading to Pooh's death happened. Essentially, what Yu did after his confession was to take a trip somewhere and make Tomori miss him, kind of shallow in my opinion. Despite all this though, I can't say I hate the series completely, considering that Tomori was in it which is one of the best heroines to ever come out this year. I'm 100% sure the OVA will be a fanservice episode. Probably a 30 min shot of Tomori in underwear while tied up underground

As if ripping off Code Geass and X-Men wasn't enough, Maeda even took from Metal Gear. The man truly has no shame
For his next venture he should just steal from his own works. Clannad cast with Charlotte powers running around in Kanon's world getting into Angel Beats shenanigans. I'd watch that

I disagree with how he came up with the whole plan and everyone thought it was a good one.
And even with all the powers he got, I think its still unrealistic he stole all the powers of everyone (and carriers) in the entire world. But I did aww @ the very last power in the world being the power of courage, lol. And do like that he did it all at the cost of his memory and brain. And I do like Tomori route clear. She carried a lot of scenes, and I loved the way her voice actor chews her lines.
