I have a hard time telling one voice from another in Japanese, most of the time it just sounds like different tones of voice to me, but there a few I can tell apart. Which is the opposite with english voices. speaking of which, for those that watch dubs, anyone got a wishlist for roles for this show?

Okay, here is the dub cast I've thought up. NIS America or Dentsu Entertainment (a.k.a. zombie Geneon) would most likely license this series:
Yui Hirasawa-Michelle Ruff Ritsu Tainaka- Kari Wahlgren Tsumugi Kotobuki- Wendee Lee Mio Akiyama- Stephanie Sheh Azusa Nakano- Laura Bailey |

Now that the series is licensed here are my possible choices:
Yui Hirasawa-Michelle Ruff Ritsu Tainaka- Laura Bailey Tsumugi Kotobuki- Karen Strassman Mio Akiyama- Christina Vee Valenzuela (Originally Karen Strassman until the decision to have Christina do the singing was made) Azusa Nakano- Stephanie Sheh Ui Hirasawa - Carrie Savage Sawako Yamanaka - Wendee Lee

The live Blu-Ray of the Let's Go event in Yokohama last winter is great. Excellent little backstage video, and the show itself is good and gives you lots of views of all the seiyuus.
The weeping thanks of each seiyuu to the audience was pretty moving -- especially Hikasa Youko, Taketatsu Ayana, and Satou Satomi -- and then you can see them after the show backstage, too, hugging each other and weeping with joy and released tension. It's always a trip to see Toyosaki Aki, who is so big and tall, quite contrary to Yui, and who seems to be the keystone of the group, giving them stability and calm.

I think Mio should be voiced by someone with a singing voice (and Cristina the the best one here) |

I saw Minako Kotobuki referenced as the youngest cast member, and thought "Well, that can't be correct", and checked it myself.
Nope, turned out it's true, since Ayana Taketatsu turned 21 last month. I would not have guessed that.

Fun Fact(s):
Did you know that: Satou Satomi, who voices Ritsu, also voiced Reimu; and Yoko Hikasa, who voices Mio, also voiced Marisa in a few Touhou doujins? Spoiler for See for yourself.:

Omg! Big news straight from the Bandai panel at Otakon. They announced Cristina Vee as Mio Akiyama and Stephanie Sheh as Yui. It was awesome! Stephanie was just asked and confirmed at the panel and Bandai smuggled Cristina in to sing My Love is a Stapler, Fuwa Fuwa Time and Don't say lazy. Total fangasm!!! XD

Bandai Entertainment announced two of the English cast members for the K-ON! television anime series: Stephanie Sheh as Yui and Cristina Vee as Mio. Vee also appears in the North American marketing videos for the anime, which adapts kakifly's four-panel comedy manga about a budding high school band. Bandai Entertainment plans to ship K-ON! simultaneously on DVD and Blu-ray.
