She's da bomb. I think she was the 3rd highest in popularity in the previous poll (only behind Rikuo and Tsurara)? She deserves it, haven't seen an evil + ridiculously sexy villain like her since forever.

Kitsune was the 4th most popular character in the poll.
First was Rikuo, second place was young Nurarihyon, third was Tsurara (she lost for only 8 votes) and Kitsune was the fourth (I also remember that Day Rikuo was 5th).

I started to read this series from 3 days ago..its damn awesome.
But hagoromo she's amazing !!!.

To be honest, so far Kitsune hasn't felt so villainous to me. I hope she shows off more of her badass side soon, like how she did when she was battling Nura in her old form.

And Akifusa, it seems that someone is controlling him. Well, I hope it's not so, and he will prove to be more than just a fodder.

That was the only time she delivered Seimei the normal way. After that, from my understanding, each time she "dies", she takes over a new host in some hundreds of years. And this time she happens to take over a young girl (the current Kitsune) that Rikuo had witnessed years ago at the death of his father. And for every time after the initial birth 1000 years ago, she doesn't require a male partner, just the livers of humans.

I don't think many people would know of Yomi if it weren't for the original anime. The manga is very average. Don't think I managed to read over 20 chapters. But that's just my opinion.

I don't think Yomi appeared much in the manga..
Since the anime was a prologue for the manga..

But I've to say Gitsune reminds me of Yomi when I first saw her in that appearance..

Maybe her body was dead but her soul still lives? They also haven't explained how she became this powerful even though 1000 years ago she was defenseless. Perhaps she figured out the way to gain power over 1000 years and formed her own hyakki in the process.

And chapter 125 is now out, excellent chapter again.

This. It has already been said that whenever Kitsune dies, she possess another girl's body after some time.

Kitsune also said that every time she reincarnates, she is more powerful. The number of her tails represents the number of times she was born and with that, her strength.

Definitely one of the better chapters Spoiler: Akihisa fights Kitsune, but he turns out to be a water shikigami illusion of Yura's brother Ryouji meant to distract her so that other stoic onmyouji would have a chance to attack Kitsune. But Kitsune manages overcome both of them... or so she thought.. It turns out that too was a feint and the real goal was to distract her so they could prepare to seal Nue. (insert Ryouji troll face) except that Tsuchigumo shows up during the last minute and bats the seal away. Kitsune vents out her frustration on Ryouji, but Rikuo hijacks the the scene So there you go... the whole plan would have worked if not for Tsuchigumo. I guess the blame falls on Rikuo. XD

So how did Gitsune gain the ability to be resurrected (as a possessed human with human lifespan) every 400 years?
