Don't know what to think of this series. The first episode was god awful. Probably the blandest first episode I've ever seen. Episode 2 was a lot better mostly due to the clumsy girl. And I laughed at Rio's boob bouncing sound effects at the start of the episode. I'll probably give this one more episode before deciding to stick with it or not.

Liked this episode alot more than last week's. The "gates" have quite interesting battles so I'm interested to see how the other battles are. Fanservice was better too- nice volleyball scene and cosplay. Elvis is such a character. His fanclub kind of bother me through out of the episode tho. The OP and ED songs are average, but cute.

While it was a joke, and an athlete's gear would only be used as DNA material in this world of bootlegs, there are things to consider.

-Anya-chan hasn't seen one before, but obviously knows about it due to her wanting to become a Dealer. This leads me to believe it isn't something the general public has seen in mass numbers.
-Minty Ice Cream knew zilch about Gates, further proof of a non-gambling citizen not knowing about gates
-Rio appears to have received it at a closed doors event, which (I believe) wasn't even a Gate battle like what we've seen so far. This makes me think that the knowledge of her being a Gatekeeper wasn't front page news in outlets worldwide.
-She doesn't keep it in her pocket. How does it go if she loses, does she go up to her room with an armed guard to relinquish the card?
-So I believe Gatekeepers are drawn to one another. I want some ice cream now.
-Does she wear a bra?
-I may have forgotten, but what is the color of her pantsu?

I was mainly referring to the OP, which if I remember it correctly there was a serious lack of her in there (compared to the other girls anyways). I know this is "Rio Rainbow Gate" and not Anya Rainbow Gate, but... hmm. I wouldn't mind some Anya DVD specials...

Yeah, she does bring luck, in her own catastrophic way. I like to think of this as, she needs training to fully control her method of delivering her luck, and her strong admiration for Rio was largely responsible for Rio's win. (her meeting Evis is probably like one of those things I mentioned earlier, where they can sense each other, so she pulled a premeditated cut on him)

I would really like to see them go into this in-depth, if it is somewhat true.

Oh what a pity, Elvis had the fabulous attitude but sadly not a fabulous appearance. He was rather plain looking by any fabulous standards.

Star Driver and Gosick know fabulous, sadly Rio has fallen short.

Guess episode 2 did "up the ante" so to speak in terms of story or the series as a whole but not by much.

Not to mention... 1/3 of the episode is of showing Rio's racks...

Overall, this series isn't as good as I thought it would be.
I had thought it would be "more ecchi (not just showing Rio's rack for 1/3rd of the episode) and there would actually be "skills" in gambling"

But than again... here Rio is just a dealer and not a real "player"... and the show is mostly about showing Rio's rack as much as possible... LOL
