Y'know for some reason when you say it in English, the fact that it's *plural* becomes so much more pronounced..

You know the zashiki warashi of intelectual village is an interesting novel and a fine read, but if someone could explain to me vol 2 ch 3 I would be eternally grateful. I understood everything until the moment Uchimaku asked if she really was the girl

Basically, the girl just went all invisible while Youkai took her form. No one could see Tsumada Mio, and to see her you needed to understand that Youkai who looked just like her was a fake.

Well, not sure if it's a good explanation. Any other question?

Well I kinda understood that, but is that all there is to it.
In this novel who likes to have a lot of explanations for things it just seems overly simplistic.

Well my main question would be how did he arrive at that conclusion, how did he discover she was invisible? (Am I missing something in the novel where they explain that, or I guess ill just have to sleep this over and figure it one way or another)

That's the key phrase, I guess. Uchimaki talks about Youkai, thinking that Youkai is the real girl. Then again, it's a lie, and not just one. Youkai can be used. Youkai is not the real Mio. That's why Youkai reacted to Uchimaki's words.
