How soldiers deal with the job of killing

Good article. No matter how tough of a soldier you are, taking another person life in battle is not that simple and is not something you can easily forget.

Exactly, in close quarters, there is no time for second thoughts. It is kill or be killed at that range and troopers are often left worry about their conscience later.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

To think that my school is still teaching this bull.

And you are late MW. Should have written this last year. Or at least after QE1. What took you so long?

The thing is that, Economics is a very large subject consisting of many theorists and economists, not just Keynes. What about Adam Smith? Thomas Malthus? Why are we only taught about Keynes all along?
What about Hayek?

Hayak is the one we need to be learning about.

"You must save to invest."

Amazing that we forget something so obvious.

Oh darn. Totally slipped from my mind.

My idea of Economics is that for each event, there is a different approach to it. Most important is to find the core cause. Dangers are bound to be inherent when manipulating the economy...as much as leaving it alone too.

Thing is, those districts were created by an independent organization, and many of those boundaries also screw over incumbent democrats (Particularly in the Los Angeles basin.).

No no no no.

Usually when it starts hitting the 80's in June and July, even gets as high as 100's in the heat of summer. Unusually cool year this year, not that I mind.

A soldier flees the killing

What? He and his colleagues refuse to kill his fellow Syrians, and are shot dead?

He has my respect for running away - at least he will be living as a witness to the crimes against human rights.

Looking to the death, yes. Looking to the international indignation, I am not sure.

Difference is that Tiannanmen has become a clear win for the dictators and tyrants.

Who knows how the Middle East will shake out.

I wouldn't have much hope for Syria, Libya might have some but the deathroll will be enormous and for the Yemen the big factor will be if the presiden can came back from Saudi Arabia.

heh

look who's the bully now

Some gay-rights foes claim they now are bullied

NEW YORK (AP) — As the gay-rights movement advances, there's increasing evidence of an intriguing role reversal: Today, it's the conservative opponents of that movement who seem eager to depict themselves as victims of intolerance.

To them, the gay-rights lobby has morphed into a relentless bully — pressuring companies and law firms into policy reversals, making it taboo in some circumstances to express opposition to same-sex marriage.

"They're advocating for a lot of changes in the name of tolerance," said Jim Campbell, an attorney with the conservative Alliance Defense Fund. "Yet ironically the tolerance is not returned, for people of faith who don't agree with their agenda." .......

the conservatives can now play the victim card
play it right and this defensive posture can be turned into an effective offense
