Something similar to Clannad or True Tears

You know what?

I've found that I have a weakness for VN-tinted/fairy tale-styled romance/drama series. I usually call these anime moélodrama but I don't think that's helping for the recommendations any. Maybe I should just list every example I've seen for the kind of show I'm looking for. Actually I'll do just that:

Air (TV)
Angel Beats!
Clannad (both seasons)
Ef (both seasons)
Fortune Arterial
Kanon (2006)
Mashiro-iro Symphony
Sola
True Tears

So yeah. Can't enough of that moélodrama. Mind telling me what shows you've got that I haven't seen yet?

A search of the Suggestions forum for threads with "Clannad" in the title brings up nearly twenty entries, of which this is the most extensive.

So nobody suggested Toradora, while some "average" VN romance adaptations were suggested? Eventhough there wasn't much drama at the beginning, the romance at the end was in my opinion on par with most of the animes that he has listed.

According to the OP's MAL profile, he has already seen Toradora.

Well he didn't list it here

Some of the suggestions that are made here are VN adaptation (like Akasaka, Hoshikaka, Yosuga no Sora, h20, gift, myself yourself), but i don't agree that every of them are similar to the key adaptations, true tears or any of the other series (besides the melodrama part) that he has seen though.

edit: unfortunately the OP doesn't read VN's otherwise i could easily suggested tons of melodramatic titles that are on par with Clannad or True Tears

edit: Bungaku shoujo (the movie, not the ova's that suppliment the movie) is something that he hasn't seen yet.

How about Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu? It's an anime about the romance between a popular girl who conceals her inner otaku and the guy she confides that secret in.

Well, I can't say that everything everyone suggested was the kind of show I was looking for but regardless I thank everyone for the recommendations. I likely won't be replying to this thread but if anyone feels compelled to bring up anything else then please do so. And of course there's the MAL in my sig for reference (don't take the tags too seriously btw).

Thank you to all before and thank you to anyone in advance~

I'll agree with Yosuga no Sora, but more so I'd really suggest Bungaku Shoujo(Movie) and it's related OVAs it should be what you want, it's quite good to .

You could add AnoHana and Suzuka to your list.

You could try Ano Natsu de Matteru though was not too happy with the way it progressed at the end.

Hakuouki is VN based though whole romance is more in season 2.

My favourite has always been KimiKiss: Pure Rouge, based on the KimiKiss datesim. Heck, my love of True Tears is BECAUSE it was so similar in approach with KimiKiss released a few years before it.

In fact, the reason why it's so hated by the original fanbase is because moélodrama has been added to the story where the original didn't have any before (which True Tears also did if you didn't know already). Which IMO was a VERY good decision, as I don't care much about being true to the source for as long as they executed it properly. And holy boy, if anyone who knows how to execute properly, it would be its director, Kenichi Kasai.

I'll second Myself;Yourself: Guy returns to his home town only to find the female childhood friend he was very close with inexplicably changed...

Also, maybe, White Album, which deals with the troubles of having an idol as a girl friend. The show doesn't sugarcoat the idol business. Do expect drama. [Oh, wait, you've seen that...]

You really should stop bringing old threads up, just focus on those that are on the 1st page.
