Why do people keep saying this same line over and over and over and over and over everywhere a second season topic comes up? If it's not Lucky Star it's the never happening sequel to Full Metal Panic. Like is this a challenge/countersign thing like in special ops or something?

Challenge: "Second Season of K-On incoming"

Countersign: "New season of Lucky Star/Haruhi/FMP/Key please?"

I don't know, I'm just so bored of reading this particular one liner amongst the sea of them I often have to suffer through on my daily forum perusals. It's been brought up a thousand times before, it's not going to change anything if somebody posts it on a forum/blog/twitter page, so please stop filling message boards with it kids lest I start to wonder if it's actually spam bots posting it. Not that I haven't already entertained the thought.

edit: I'm also invoking the "If I had a dollar for everytime somebody said" clause on this one too, because really it's true. In fact I would probably be buying a new PC by now.

Full Metal Panic has had 3 seasons already and I think its third season didn't do so well there, so I doubt they're gonna risk a 4th season because Americans want it to so much.

Lucky Star season 2 would be nice, but is there anything that's not covered yet? Yeah, we could follow the girls in college, but would it be worth it?

Though I know K-On! isn't exactly worth a Nobel Prize in Literature, at least the story can be expanded for as long as possible. The whole 'being a band' idea can be developed more, making sequels easier to make while keeping the original success formula (a bunch of girls lazying about while making music) intact.

Can't wait for the first episode. More K-On! goodness. On a random note, I just recently went the Anime Matsuri convention and bought myself five chibi K-On! figures (Mio, Azusa, Yui, Ritsu, and Mugi) for $10 a piece.

Story? If it's a story there's not much to it in the long term other then episodic stuff. K-On to me is pop culture, they'll probably forget this in a few years.

Now hoping to see if they are actually willing to show a kiss in the Romio and Jurietsu episode for great rage from 'Mio is mai waifu' guys.

Edit: Come to think of it, it's a three way war this season I suppose between K-On school band moe, Working!!- restaurant moe and Yutori-Chan...mobile phone saleswoman?

And where's the Working!! thread?

Well Japanese TV listings do go beyond 24 hours in order to clarify shows which are broadcast in the wee hours after midnight, which is technically the following day.

He didn't say a thing about K-On! and *anyone* may post here whether they like the series or not (as long as they present themselves civilly).

However, he's right - it *does* seem like every time some series is greenlit, we get plaintive unrelated posts for second seasons of someone's favorite series.

I have my own list of wonderful series that never got proper treatment or a second season to complete the story --- but I try not to waste everyone's time with such posts.

I hate it whenever people say "LUCKY STAR SEASON 2" because..well, there's nothing else to talk about on that show and it's been 3 years. It's not gonna happen.
