Well I thought I was going to fool at least someone, but yeah. I already seen all the illustrations at Baka-Tsuki. I didn't know the content behind them, but I did felt that the relationship of Alice followed that pattern. Still Seitsuki, it does kind of answer your question how Emi and Maou progress as a couple, being adopted mother and father does count right?

It seems like Maou's background should be something like the New Jersey Devil who has horns, attacks mainly with bare hands, large in size, and has hooves. |

Their progress in relationship seems to run at a similar pace to Horimiya so it'll probably take more volumes and assuming all of the human race of Ente to be their enemies for an actual development... considering the possibilities...
If she's the enemy of the people she can't be really called as a hero right? and be labeled the same as him... Emi aside... is there any form of dev Chi-chan has to Maou? |

No need to be sensitive about it, lets just say it is an old story. Though I doubt it is from Europe, most stories from Europe revolves around, yes a hero, and saving a lady from a dragon or Devils or something. The one culture I know that is always about Demon Lords is actually Japan so its like a mixture of European and Japanese folk lore.
