okay, seen the episode just now, i agree that Haruto x Shouko ship is sunk, even leaving out Saki, what happened is gonna break these 2 for sure.
I'm starting to feel more intriguing about Cain actually.

You do realize that this is actually the exact kind of thing that conversely raises the opposite flag in a love triangle, right? If this were happening for the finale of the whole series that would be one thing, but only before the halfway point? I see the tables turning next season unless the main character focus shifts off of Haruto for season 2, and even then..........

In a sense, that's true but in my eyes, it's raised Shouko x L-elf flag more than it with Haruto.

Edit: I'm going to see myself feeling sad for Shouko even though I am mostly indifferent towards her. Sunrise, you did good, you did really good in that regard.

I hated the ending so much to the point I've never been mad by an anime episode before this one (despite rating it with 8/10). While I like Haruto and Saki's characters, I dislike them as a couple so it is the first time watching the anime that I've began despising the couple, so I'm allowed to say that the whole propose thing is just Haruto being sarcastic to Saki in the same way as the beginning of episode 6, except with the thing getting reversed.
In other words, I love Shouko so much to the point I really care for her despite all the suffering. I hope she wouldn't die so that she would get Haruto.

Shoko was crying in front of him while he did nothing. He was also about to kill her if she chose her dad over the Valvraves. I don't think he likes her very much, but we'll see.

And to answer you second question, I would have to say no. I'm watching it right now. The guy is proposing out if guilt and obligation.

Like other people have said earlier, this just raises more flags for Haruto x Shoko.

I don't think he loves her, I just think he is just taking responsibility

Sure if Shouko can become a monster like the pilots then she can get her happy ending. Now that her Dad is gone maybe she wants revenge like the other pilots and hops on a Valvrave next episode.

Then the proposal gets cancelled cause Shouko is also a space vampire now.

Probably not. I think we can all agree that, at least for now, he's doing it out of obligation for last episode. Not to say he doesn't care about her of course, but he probably doesn't love her.

However, I actually think that he may get to the point where he earnestly loves Saki. If only for the sake of making the love triangle even more drama-tastic.

well, i agree with that as well, i said sunk in term of relationship, not ending as this is sunrise we are talking about.

agree, Shouko isn't the type who hold grudge over things that can't be helped as her personality potraited so far.

Too many reason, 1st being the attack is already initiated, 2nd is L-elf might not do so, 3rd is that Shouko is the figure heads, not Haruto.

i agree, it seem like Haruto do this out of obligation rather than love, but for now, at least he do try to take take responsibility. I will cross my hand to wait for the next ep to see how it will turn out.

ugh, now that you put it that way, that's seem like it's really going to happen. Well, i want to see how Shouko develop from now on, seeing that she had glimpsed on hell.
