While we're at it, a Noire figure was announced officially (it was on display at the Wonderfest), tentative release it's Jan 2014:
http://pulc.jp/?pid=61769468 Other figures shown or planned were a Black Heart one and a Purple Heart one. Also a preview of the Comic Anthology based on the anime (it also contains other things non-Neptune related): http://news.dengeki.com/elem/000/000/678/678666/ EDIT: The complete first chapter of the new manga based on the anime (Neptune Hello World) can be seen, legally, in Japanese on pixiv here: http://comic.pixiv.net/works/582 |

Anyway was I the only one thinking that they should have known that a place called Zune Island could only bring about misfortune? Also: Servisu Servisu!

Neppu? What does that mean? Anyway, I hope we also get to see Falcom and Cave as well. We did see 5pb so I can somewhat be sure we will see Cave but Falcom? Hmm... if we do see Gust, then Falcom is likely as well. From what I see so far, Neptunia the animation is doing pretty well and I remember seeing a recent poll somewhere in the past week that the characters Noire, Neptune, and Nepgear are currently leading the most popular characters of the season. It's just the really vocal minority that makes it look worse than it really is. Besides, we will have a better idea when sales are out. According to a couple anime sales estimator (although I know this is more of an estimate of the sales, they generally got it pretty close to what the actual sales), all the volumes so far with the current pre-orders are expected to sell around 5,000 volumes. That's actually not too bad as of now. It could go up or go down but looking positive.

Personally, I wonder whether Neptunia would go beyond consoles, and comment on the "war" for market share between various platforms - PC vs Console vs Handheld vs Mobile Market. So far, it's touched the Console and Handheld market, but not the Mobile Market. A next gen Neptunia with the Ouya would probably have the Ouya being the weak little sister to the far more ferociously powerful Android, arch-rivals with IOS, both of whom bullies the Windows Phone. |
