Indeed. We can thank a wonderful musical score by Yoshihisa Hirano for bringing most of those parts to life, though if we're gonna mention parts that 'tore me apart', just one name.. Kaori. ;_;

It's too bad it wasn't emphasize enough IMO, but I guess it went fine. It's quite "heart breaking" especially that last moments when she's writing that letter (which took a certain someone to find)

When i remember Kaori, i think back to the flashback scenes --- some of the best moments of the series if you ask me. Also did the best at really showing just what levels of emotion the story could give.

Heh, now i know which series is next on my rewatch list.

Agreed Shiroth some of my favorite and most saddening moments involved Kaori, The emotional impact of her story and the resulting issues afterwards were one of the best parts of the show. Not to mention usually i hate flashbacks because they are done horribly most of the time, but it this case it came together well.

btw its nice to see this thread is still holding on

I felt bad for Tamao, too, but poor Yaya! I'm afraid Tamao is going to grow up to be like president Rokujou. They are both class acts, but deny themselves for the sake of their friends. Yaya tried to provide that kind of selfless love, but wasn't strong enough and almost screwed up a friendship. Yaya doesn't seem like someone who can calmly steer herself past potentially destructive emotions.

Yes but at the end Yaya and Tsubomi seemed to be getting closer.

And who knows, if Shizuma can wait two years for Nagisa, maybe Tamao and
Rokujo will get together. But if not, there are always other fish in the sea. At least all the ones who got rejected can still be friends. Better to at least still be friends than to loose a love and friend.

Yeah it ended with no questions. Some people think the last scene with Nagisa and Tomao is something, but that is just Tomao welcoming her back and saying she wants to still be friends.

Also it was never all that popular and DVD sales were poor. Doubt we will see anything else.

Well, the light novels are actually being translated to English, and they have come out with several drama CDs, so there must be some energy behind the franchise. Unfortunately I don't really think an OVA is likely.

What really is there left? Its obvious that Nagisa won't get with Tomao even though they still have two years left. Skip ahead and have Shiz and her dating in college or what?

Probably a whole new arc regarding Le Rim. I wouldn't really want any more of Nagisa and Shizuna. I agree that Tomao is unlikely to get together with Nagisa.

No that love story is game and set. Shiz won. Yeah maybe some new characters with old ones as just background would work.

Tomao is too much of a sweetie to use the Death Note.

Unless she is only acting like that because she knows she has a way to eliminate her rival without being caught!

We're talking about this girl who gets off hearing Nagisa's screams from a tape recorder.

And regularly spies on other girls for information.

Tamao knows all.

Cheers.
