The Anime Saimoe Tournament is a festival of anime characters competing their MOE in 2ch.

Character registration

Which characters should be registered?
Female characters (including androids, etc.) appeared in the anime which is aired more than 5 episodes or more than half of all episodes, in the OVA which is newly out, in the movie which is shown for the first time, in Japan during 2006/07/01~2007/06/30.

The registration is done according the initials of the anime series.
6/14 "あ" row
6/15 "か" row
6/16 "さ" row
6/17 "た" and "な" row
6/18 "は" row
6/19 "ま", "や", "ら" and "わ" row
6/20~ additional rgisteration

How to register characters?
Go to the code generator and get a code, then post <<character＠series>> with the code during 01:00:00~23:00:59 JST. You can post 5 characters at a time.

AFAIK, it depends on whether they have their personalities or something like that, though the final decision will be done by the Saimoe staff. Starbright is not eligible.

I don't know Touka, but Mizuho is not eligible because Mizuho is male. Jun is eligible because Jun is female in Watarase Jun no Karei naru Ichinichi.

ando beat me to making a thread about it. Might as well, as it won't be till August when the tournament proper begins, that's where the real contest and interest begins.

I'll begin to do some coverage of it then.

(As well as trying to make a picture tutorial on how to vote so all you bozos won't have to go around asking how. )

It depends on the setting of the "ツール", but at least in the qualification you must use "＠", not "@". In the main tournament it is not such a problem except the match like Haruhi vs. Nagato.

Haruhi's in the tournament again this year? I thought it was ineligible due to the fact that only one new episode of the TV series aired during the eligibility period (with a TV series needing five episodes to qualify).

Other than that, it does make the tournament even more interesting (as well as it adds Haruhi to the list of shows that I'm rooting for).

There seem to be a lot of Strawberry Panic! votes, so maybe the series that aired a while ago aren't that screwed after all.
