Streaming options for SAO
Hello, I'm new.
I held off on SAO, but I think I'm gonna go through with it now. My current convenient options for viewing are Netflix, Hulu, and Crunchyroll (free version). The free version of Crunchyroll is flooded with ads. Hulu has ads, not as many as Crunchyroll, but seems to provide the best quality version. It's also subbed. Netflix has zero ads, but I think the quality of their version (which I think is also dubbed) is not as good as Hulu's. Am I right? What do you guys use? Thanks! And hello! |

Plenty of illegal ones out there, but let's leave their website addresses and names out of the thread.

Yeah, I'm wondering at the options. Yeah, legal ones. Though you can throw out illegal one's for curiosity's sake.
Really, I'm wondering if one streaming host typically offers higher quality, i.e. 1080p with high quality sound, versus another that tends to offer lower quality, or if it's just random. Or, yea, don't talk about anything illegal here. Last edited by Flower; 2014-12-28 at 00:58. |

Unless production practices have changed of late, few if any anime series are produced in native 1080p. Most are shot at 720p; any 1080p releases you might encounter are upscales.
Something with the budget of Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis might have a native 1080p master, but I think it is still very rare.
