At some point, having Maruyu is by far the best result you can have aside of the usual candidates (Yamato, Taihou).
She is arguably far more useful than the usual plethora of Kongou, Isa, Fusou, Tone classes.

You want a minimum of 2 Maruyu in your fleet at all times, so you can have both Maruyu and Maruyu Kai voices available, depending on your mood.

By the way, how are the chances of sub drops in 1-5? I never farmed for subs there, but I do have quite a number of 1-5 runs. All I ever got was a single I-168, making me think that this sub heaven 1-5 must be a yeti rumor.

168, 58, 8 and 19 drops there. The FOUR of them at the boss node and node C. 58, 19 and 168 at D and 58 alone in F.

What's your HQ level? What the english wiki doesn't tell you is that some of them only drop above certain levels. I-8 is only 80+, and Iku is absurdly rare unless you're above lvl 60+ or something like that. I personally have 3 Imuyas and 4 Goyas from 1-5.

Ohhhh, I thought the wiki meant it capped out at 20% (per ship) rather than 20% for the fleet.

I run the boats on expedition 21 and 38. You can only have 3 boats for those two expeditions as the requirements mean that you can only have 1 AV in the fleet. It's very nice, as your added expense in running the AV when compared to DD/SS is moot even if you don't have great success, and when you do have a great success, your gain goes from 1.5x to 1.725x because the boat bonus stacks with the great success multiplier.

i never got a sub in 1-5 lol not that i go there much unless its the weekly quest..although i do have all the I subs 1st ever was I-8 and from construction lol
edit does 3-4 need LoS? or its just really a troll map?

Compass trolling. There's literally no branching rules at all on 3-4.

Unofficial English translation of the Kancolle TRPG by the way.

re Daihatsus: They get the most use in expeditions where you can just slide in an AV into a fleet with no trouble. Personally, I use them in a sparkled expedition 36 (aka the lazy admiral's expedition).

I probably have failed to get Bismarck (and Musashi) like 50 times already. Can't care less anymore

In some way i think that I am secretly hoping to not getting them so i can keep the dorm space, and have things to burn resources/ looking forward for while waiting for next events

I got Yamato when i stopped caring. But Taihou was deliberate

But like i mentioned. Back when i got that Yamato and had pretty much all the rare ships bar Mikuma (still hasn't gotten her yet even now) and rare DD. Was really uninterested in the games for a while, even stop doing daily and Pvp (and the monthly medals).

So i guess still have some ships to go for: Bismarck and Musashi probably what still keep me interested till next events

(oh and get all my kanmusu to lvl 96 too)

I think I like drops way more than I do LSC. Farming for drops make you level your ships, which you don't do when you LSC.

Getting Yamato, Musashi, Bismarck, and Taihou will be long-term targets, for sure, given how ridiculous RNG can get.

But first, hoarding. Not going to try until I hit 50k.
