I use Video Avatar to create gifs)
Video Avatar is a tool for creating animated GIF avatars, userpics and signatures.
Video Avatar has a very simple and friendly-using interface, thats why you will not have any difficulties managing it.

Also, I would like the color of the picture to be a little darker so you can see Winry's face more clearly, but I don't want the sig to look too dark haha.

I tried but the original image was way too light... It didn't work out very well

Aww it's okay! Haha it's not too bad, maybe just leave it how it was and not worry about darkening it?

I think those would be hard to make within the size limit of this forum. Just saying.
