No and no.

That's why whenever people ask for a subforum, the effect on us tends to be the opposite, because if we create it then, it would seem we're doing it on demand. So, while you think it's an helper, it's more of a deterrent.

However, this decision was pretty much taken since a few days ago, we were basically just waiting for the proximity of next episode to create the subforum. So it was a matter of (little) time, being it requested or not. Today's fuss (all the deleted posts) convinced us that perhaps anticipating a bit wouldn't have harmed, especially for the sake of anime only watchers. That's all.
Hopefully this will help the discussion being distributed in the correct channels, since the mix between manga and anime talk had become unsustainable.

Hooray for the TWGOK sub-forums! I didn't think they'll make it but they were planning to do it..... a week ago.

On behalf of everyone, I like to apologize to the moderators for most of us talking/whining/asking/pleading about a sub-forum. You guys musta have a bad week.

To further Pellissier's point a bit, I want to ask all manga readers watching the anime to help us out by keeping all manga-related discussion in the appropriate threads, and encouraging other members to do the same. Now that we have the comparison thread, I don't think there should be any reason to not do things properly.

I have to admit that one of my concerns about creating the sub-forum for this show was that it was challenging enough already to keep people posting in the right threads when there were only two choices, and that creating a whole sub-forum means that many more threads that need to be "policed". But one of the arguments has been that there wasn't proper threads for certain discussion, so now that problem is remedied. I hope therefore that people will be disciplined enough to use the proper threads and not let off-topic discussion get out of hand. It would be a great help to us if people could use the "Report Post" option to let us know when a thread is going off-topic or contains inappropriate content, so we can get things cleaned up quickly before things continue to derail.

We want the forum experience to be fun for everyone, but it's always a bit tricky to balance the perspectives of those who know the source material with those who don't want to know the source material. So we're really counting on those with the extra knowledge to take the needed steps to show consideration for those (like Pellissier, myself, and many others) who are experiencing things for the first time with the anime.

Will definitely do that, as all that manga adaption talk in the anime thread is really going on my nerves, not having read the manga.

Oops. I didn't make myself clear. The "ahems" were supposed to point to how the forum was made despite the repeated asking. You guys have made it clear in the past that how annoying you about subforums would get the opposite effect. If people hadn't already known... then they haven't been paying attention.

Must not post at early hours of the morning again.

Anyway, with the subforum, manga discussions will probably go to their rightful place now and people will definitely be less likely to post those elsewhere. It almost seems like you need reminders each page about it or people forget.

It was never actually 'announced'. Only news that it would happen. No officially confirmation never happen until now.
