I haven't played a dynasty warriors game since I stopped playing after dynasty warriors 5 so I have to ask, are they basically still doing the same thing where they release the same game each year with just some new characters? Or have they actually been making some changes to the game system? Depending on the answer I may or may not try this game.

Well there is some change here and there. like weapon swaping. but the core gameplay still same

Sadly Jin is only slated for Wen Yang, Jia Chong, and Zhang Chunhua as adds for this.

There's not much difference there compared to the previous one. Sima Zhao looks a bit more grand though.

Very disappointed that they're saving Wen Yang as the last Jin reveal for a later date.

i like Wang Yuanji new looks. even though she doesnt really change too much.

Considering she killed a maid in the novel to keep Sima Yi's secret... Yeah. I'm sure they'll make her outwardly the perfect wife but a whole different person when she's with her family.

Today Wen Yang has been revealed and man is he simply amazing.

Furthermore all characters revealed alongside Wen Yang are said to have at least one cut-scene in the game and Tashi Ci actually talks to someone other than Sun Ce in a cut-scene.

Very... Revealing. It's almost like she's naked now. Lu Bu and Dong Zhuo on the other hand got more coverings even if Dong Zhuo somehow got even fatter.

Latest PV. Shows off some of the new characters, Wen Yang though gets an extended cutscene of him fighting a bunch of soldiers all alone.

For those that don't know, Wen Yang is voiced by Zhao Yun Gundam.

The joke is that Wen Yang was compared to Zhao Yun in History and the Novel and many considered him the second coming of Zhao Yun.

I noticed that there are several new actions in this game? There's one that'll spend al three bars musou and one at the last few seconds with Yuangji that I dunno how to it works exactly.

Anyway, it's nice to see that they didn't nerf throwing knives that much in that video

^ Battle system looks very similar to the previous. Weapon switching, weapon proficiency, ex attacks, musou levels...

I guess DW7/SSM6 was the huge revamp, and that base system is here to stay for a while.
